As my husband and I live nearby, East End Kitchen is a great local spot to go to for lunch or brunch – their dinner menu looks delicious as well, but we haven’t been for dinner yet! The menu is reasonably priced, which is nice to find in NYC! I have dietary restrictions and can always find something yummy on... More

Had a great brunch. Huge portions, nice atmosphere. If you live in the area, it's a great little place to try. It does seem to get crowded on early Saturday afternoon. You may need a reservation.

This is a very decent neighborhood restaurant. The hubby and I have walked past this place multiple times and even tried to get in once without a reservation with no luck. This past Saturday night, we made a reservation and had our first meal at East End Kitchen. The space is really nice. Very warm and casual but not sloppy.... More

Greeted by two friendly hostesses, we had a banquette/chair table combination near the kitchen, but we were happy with the location. The restaurant vibe is upbeat. The place is very busy even on weekdays. We were fortunate to get in even with our last minute reservation. We were promptly greeted by a server with water. Courteous and efficient Lance, our... I loved the steak I got from here, and the plating is gorgeous. A cozy, nice restaurant on the pricey side. Great for a nice date night.

Met up with friends this past weekend enjoyed this small place on 81st Street NY, NY. The appetizers were wonderful. The large selection of entrees made everyone happy. Their pistachio crusted rack of lamb was delicious as well as the fish dishes. I would recommend making a reservation. The wait staff were wonderful. I would definitely come back to this... More

People in the neighborhood of East End Kitchen have a restaurant to dine in. There are not many places to eat on East End Avenue. I was here in July with 3 of my friends. Restaurant was crowded and high noise level. Had the pasta dish nothing special. It needed more sauce and flavor. Restaurant offers specials on certain nights... More

It's not cheap but it is the Upper East Side. Swanky but still friendly, great cocktails and very good food. Skate, pork and the burger are all good. Perhaps not one to travel to but great if you're in the area.

In Manhattan's Far East Side (East of First Avenue; North of 79th Street) there are numerous diners and eating stops but few restaurants for more formal dining. EAST END KITCHEN provides a delightful dining experience for brunch, lunch or dinner. Located in an elegant neighborhood and a short distance from Carl Schurz Park this restaurant provides a diverse menu choice,... More

A loud and happy place, people were smiling because food was consistently great. Servers were friendly and helpful. Start with Fried artichoke for appetizer. Blackened shrimps pasta dish is my wife's favorite. I always order some kind of fish ----absolutely delicious. It is kid friendly. Very adequate selection for children menu.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
