Needed somewhere to eat pretty quickly as we only had an hour before reservations at Please Don't Tell and stumbled into this place. What a great stumble! Atmosphere was lovely: candles and soft music meant you relaxed as soon as you sat down. I had a savoury crepe and salad; it was so yummy and it was nice to have... More

The restaurant is hidden away a bit down the street from the rest of the restaurants, but it will only reward those that find theyre way here. The food was great and the restaurant was small but cosy.

My husband had the chicken pesto crepe and I had the fig and brie crepe. Both were excellent and came with a nice salad. The food and service was excellent!

Forget the crowded and expensive brunch offerings in the area this little gem cooks up delicious food value meals. Delicious crepes freshly made. Service is efficient though it is a little slow but well worth it! Give the chef a break he has two hot plates to make your tasty crepes, great value tasty meals do it 😀

On our last day in NYC we discovered a great secret in Crooked Tree Creperie and it's delicious and cheap, so cheap and delicious. The menu is extensive in this small restaurant but you can't go past the amazing food and ambiance. You will be transported to Paris

This specialty place that makes Crepes in savory and sweet flavors was a real treat. It is small and cozy, and pleasant staff. The menu is extensive for a crepe place. There must be 20 different kinds of crepes with creative fillings for everyone's taste. They also have sandwiches, waffles and a variety of other foods. The best of all... More

We wandered in here on a night out in the East Village for some late night food. We were pleasantly greeted by a waiter and sat down to some amazing food. We had chicken and beef paninis and a few beers. Both of us were stunned at the quality of the food and service. Beautiful small place and great location.... More

Visited last Saturday with my Nephew for lunch and had the crepe with lamb sausage- wow! It melted in my mouth. I have a sweet tooth but honestly the savory was super. Will have to do a separate trip for the sweets, 'cause they had interesting choices. It was fun to watch the crepes be made (we sat inside, despite... More

A tiny hideaway on St.Mark in the East Village. I loved my spinach, mushroom n mozzarella crepe (not real crepes - more like wraps)! Good value, pleasant staff!

It's teeny tiny, but we still make a pilgrimage to the Crooked Tree every time we go to New York. They do smashing beef sarnies and lovely crepes, have a good wine list, and splendid selection of ales and lagers, and you're always sure of a warm welcome from the owner and his staff into their cosy little place. Oh... More

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
