A real good vibe in this place, sometimes perhaps a bit too loud, but good nonetheless. The potions were fair sized and the food tasted good. I chose the chicken skewer which was lovely. Friendly and hospitable service and in a good location in Hells Kitchen.

Popped in for a glass of wine and stayed for dinner. Service was attentive and personable. Ninth street was the performance and the food was great value. Would definitely return.

Actually found this restaurant using a Restaurant.com coupon. Went for early dinner after a Sunday afternoon matinee. Attentive and friendly staff. I ordered the veal in creme sauce and ate every bite. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his lamb chops/cutlets. This will be added to our don't miss list for our next trip to NYC.

Went for dinner but after we had 2 small plates we were full. We had the cheese plate and calamari. Both were excellent. We will try again.

Stopped here for brunch. The menu was great and the food was good. The drinks were fantastic. I was a little disappointed that the items I wanted to order were already sold out. The place is definitely tiny and quant.

This restaurant is so good and the owners and staff so pleasant I had to write while I'm still sitting in the place. Wonderful bistro food. Great atmosphere A little bit of France in the Big Apple.

We made last reservations on a Friday night, literally hours before we got into the city and had no problem and were seated promptly. The restaurant is cramped, and does not have a double door entrance, meaning any tables by the front door (basically a third of the restaurant) have direct access to the chilly winter air, every time someone... Spent 5 days in NY in January 2016. Just off Times square. Found La Carafe after looking round for good value restaurants. What a great place, we had the special, Steak, Fries and salad with a glass of wine, $21. Very tasty food, lovely place and a great ambiance. Run by a very friendly Fench lady. Will definately visit again... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
