I have eaten here for lunch & dinner many times and never leave disappointed, or anything less than full. From their core menu to daily specials, there’s not a weak dish. And the service is great, they’re always there with recommendations for excellent wine pairings...from their extensive cellar. Owners Bea & Julio are hands on & they make everyone feel glad to be there. These days, who could ask for more than that? Just go!More

An Italian friend from Brussels recommended Il Posto Accanto after reading the New York Times …so today it was a glorious day , about 12 degrees and we had a most amazing food experience. It is a good omen when the owner is sitting at...a table with her guests. We were sitting outdoors, even took off my coat and Beatrice Tosti de Valminuta tells our waiter that she will take the order. She is full of energy, positive attitude, great manners and good recommendations. We ordered grilled portobello mushrooms, sea food pacherri, lightly fried fresh anchovies (never frozen) and a heavenly almond flour cake topped with zabaglione sorbet. The bread basket was delicious, it came with a little dish of olive oil with a drop of balsamic vine and Charles order a glass of Gavi. The bill was decent, we did not have to mortgage our apartment and loved our meal soooo much we made a reservation for Sunday lunch. I must try the spaghetti alla bottarga, the grilled calamari and other dishes I could not have today!More

My daughter just moved into this neighborhood and what a special surprise to find this lovely neighborhood restaurant! We stopped for a late light lunch and was blown over by the amazing and probably the best Italian food that I've had. We also enjoyed a...bottle of Nero Ossidiana that was spectacular. I can't wait to return!More

Really cute place with a romantic atmosphere. We started with a salad to share and then a creamy, lemony pasta with shrimp. A thinly sliced beef fillet with a garlic, rosemary sauce and topped with arugala was equally delicious. The portions were small but perfect...for our appetites. The first red wine on the menu was a barbaresco priced at only $44 was excellent and a real bargain. I think this place is my new favorite Italian restaurant on the LES.More

The true Italian food. No place like Il Posto Accanto may deliver such a true Italian experience. Fabulous and so fresh! Beatrice and Julio the owners will make you feel at home. A real hidden corner for connoisseurs and real passionate foodies.

This is a great spot that you must try. We met the owners who are a husband and wife team. I am sorry I didn't get her name but she was a hoot. We sat at the bar as there was a very large table...that took up most of the dining room. We are glad we did. Her recommendations were very good especially the fried sardines that was a special app for that day. The pasta was fresh and service outstanding. Not a big restaurant but well worth the visit.More

We have visited five times in the past couple years and every time we are amazed at the quality and authenticity of the food, the unusual pastas, the wonderful service and the well-chosen wines. It’s nothing like the standard Italian menu and every item delights.

Really good home cooking food. Not a big menu and or a long menu but it is very good home cook. The sauce was superb. The bread was amazing. And the service was so good that you do not want to leave.
