Absolutely the best waffles I have ever eaten. The whipped cream tasted very good and the strawberries are fresh.

Got in without a wait on a morning weekday. Tables were a bit small for our food and people maneuvering around without nearly knocking things over, but the food was great! My husband got the waffle sandwich, which was the envy of our tastebuds and...I got the oatmeal with fresh berries. It was good quality, but nothing like the waffle sandwich. We can't wait to return and try more things!More

Outstanding croque madame for breakfast and fresh juice. I love this place! The atmosphere is very reminiscent of being in France. Service and food are great in this tiny restaurant. Sat at the bar. Small plates.

Went with friends for brunch on Sunday and loved everything- The place (super cozzy), the location (middle of West Village) and the food!- We ordered the top dishes (waffle with eggs/bacon), eggs with prosciutto and the scones (loved, loved the scones)- Coffee was very good...too. They don't accept reservations but waiting was not that long, so totally worth it- Better if you go in small groups.More

This is a really good restaurant. I went for brunch and it was moderately busy, and it wasn’t clear that you were supposed to wait to be seated. So my boyfriend and I just walked in and when the waitress turned around, we asked if...we could sit anywhere, she said we were supposed to wait at the front “but we might as well come with her because we were already here” and she sat us at the bar. We both got the Belgian waffles and the freshly squeezed orange juice, and it was amazing! We’ll definitely be back.More

Order the superb croques, fresh juice and brunch dishes. Ignore the pre-made salads and cold dishes; they will be damp and taste awful. Desserts are good, could be great with more effort. The service is nicely Parisian in a negative way, plenty of attitude. Ignore...that too - tip when it’s worth it. Enjoy what’s good about this place and you will return time again.More

This is a charming little Bistro west of Washington Square Park (42 Grove St.) Limited seating but appears to have some outside tables for warmer weather. The menu is typical for a French Bistro. While portions are modest so are the prices. Nothing over $15...with most of the menu between $10 - $12. While I didn't have the Waffle they looked tremendous. They also have a nice wine list (representing all of the prominent French Regions). They also do cocktails. Sevice is informal but knowledgeable and friendly. Well worth checking out.More

Crowded for a reason. Food delicious and coffee was great! We went early on a Saturday and only waited a couple of minutes to be seated. It is crowded and tables are very close but it was fine. We would definitely come again.

First off - on the plus side .. the cafe au lait ( ordered extra strong) was undoubtedly the best coffee we have had outside of Australia - and that includes USA and Europe. So, coffee alone would have ranked a 5. Service was good....Food though.... OK . Niçoise salade was good. The onion soup and the croque Madame were satisfactory but so so small. And if you’ve ordered both , you’d hope to feel relatively full after , or be overwhelmed by flavour .. neither in our case. The tarte tatin tasty ( apples great ) but in a restaurant of this repute , you’d hope to receive it bubbling and caramelised straight out of a small pan - or at least hot? Anyway we’d go back for the coffee .. and probably will.More

This bistro-type restaurant offers classic French, yet the experience was unsatisfying. The dishes were not substantial and tasted like they were pre-made, the flavors were on the bland side (coq au vin, cassoulet), and the seating was cramped. The price was elevated considering the overall...experience.More

A Croque is a sandwich. Normal size. It had some greens as a side. Condiments were not in the sandwich but offered separately.
