Nice relaxed place. Staff was nice, food was good and they had good European beers on tap. It had a real neighborhood feel where everybody knew everybody.

This is a great spot and everyone is welcome here. I was at Klimat three times this month to do comedy shows, and I ended up sticking around with friends to enjoy pirogies and delicious Zywiec beer from Poland. If you have a soft spot for things Eastern European, you'll enjoy Klimat. The beer selection here is awesome and prices... More

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
