The Pure Thai Cookhouse was a favorite of ours on a recent trip to NYC. We enjoyed the steamed vegetable dumplings, baby back ribs, ratchaburi crab & pork dry noodles and the pumpkin and rice desert. Everything on the menu looked great, can't wait to try some different foods next time. The prices were very reasonable.

I had a chance to visit twice during August 2016. One visit was Excellent and the second Very Good. The service was almost instant the first visit but was a bit slower the second time. Both visits were during a week day for dinner. I was alone both times. The staff are extremely friendly and the food very good. Will... More

Over in NY from the UK. We stumbled across this little gem in midtown. We had to queue (wait in line!) for about half an hour but well worth the wait. The staff were outstanding and the food simply delicious. Some of the best Thai food we've had and our best meal so far in NY! Highly recommended.

Went on my own so skipped the queue of about 20 people waiting for a table outside. Small place but the service came with a smile even though they were incredibly busy and the food was brilliant. Will definitely come back here.

Duck noodles is something you have to try both soup and dry is super yummy! The taste is very authentic thai and reminds me of street food in Thailand. I wish I can lunch here every day!

I came to this place for the second time and must say - the food is amazing. I've tried Papaya salad and Pad Thai and everything was delicious. Of course it was too much for one person, but. ... :) was too good. Please keep in mind that if you come in the evening you might be waiting up to... More

Pure Thai is a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant run seamlessly by a group of women. Tiny kitchen, tiny space overall. Very efficiently run and extremely clean. There seems to always be a line waiting to get in but don't be out off by that as the wait goes amazingly fast while u watch the kitchen at work and is unquestionably worth... More

Pure Thai is a special find even by NYC standards This is a go to for true Thai and Vietnamese lovers Tiny slip if a space , run mainly by women! Great vibe inside and long lines of locals out the door says it all! Not to be missed.

Ratchaburi was excellent. Very fresh and the flavors come together beautifully. The chicken satay appetizer was also very good. Tight area. We lucked out and had no wait. Service was quick.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
