Went for dinner got calamari , cannelloni, and my husband got fish and a couple drinks $125 tip included which I've never been anywhere they add tip unless it's a large group. $17 tip I thought was pricey and I would not have left that much the waiter wasn't that great. The fish was amazing and the best thing we... More

what a wonderful Italian restaurant. The hostess was so sweet and our waiter was very nice as well. The food was over the top lovely. Great experience and would defiantly dine there again.

I expected much more from his "Italian" restaurant in the heart of Little Italy. Is it too much to have an Italian or two working there. Apparently I was the only one there. My family and I were veery disappointed. The food wasn't horrible (it wasn't good either) but the service was. I wish we would have chosen a different... More

Very Italian, disorganised but fun. The food is good but quite rich. It is very busy. There are lots of Italians around - it is after all little Italy, but I would imagine this is one of the better ones. The manager is amusingly grumpy.

Picked the place on random based on the lunch menu outside. That menu appeared when we asked for it, but only then. Service was correct but a little leisurely as was the waiting time. Good pizza and salad that were fresh and tasty. We could easily come back, but will probably try something else.

We were in the mood for Italian food and Sofia's did not disappoint. The wine selection was great and so was the chicken parmigiana. My daughter ordered the spaghetti bolognese and it was so good. Service was good and the staff was very friendly. I would eat here again.

We were wondering in Little Italy and as usual the restaurant staff try to lure you in. This particular guy said everything was homemade and if we didn't like it we didn't have to pay. He was a bit obnoxious but we tried anyway. Before we ordered we asked the waiter to have 2 cheques for the table, divided between... More

Among Mulberry Street's Italian style tourist traps, Sofia's Restaurant stands a better chance than most of delivering something authentic. According to the very energetic guy at the street front enticing walkers-by to come inside, the entire staff, including the chef, is Italian - without getting into too many details about what it means to operating the restaurant. The extensive menu... More

Man standing on road draws you in to eat at restaurant. The restaurant is very cute, well kept, on the main strip. The man continued to yell outside through our entire dinner (we dined outside and this was very annoying.) The menu had many different options spanning all price ranges. Unfortunately, our server acted put out when answering questions regarding... More

As we were trying to decide where to eat in Little Italy, the guy on the street hooked us! I was traveling with my best friend and he used his charm on us. LOL! Flirting with married women in their 40-50s works every time. Every place has a guy trying to draw customers in and this one is good at... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
