I was not sure really what to expect from this Groupon based on some less positive reviews. Well, from where I come from, this was an excellent deal with excellent food and service. I would definitely come here again. This was for 4 adults and included 4 appetizers, main courses, desert & coffee along with 2 sides for the table... More

Checked this restaurant out because of Groupon. I have to admit that I wasn't expecting too much as it was a Groupon restaurant. I can admit when I was wrong. The steaks were yummy and the service was very good. The ambiance is par for a steak house.

Unfortunately, the food at this New York steakhouse was far below the quality of the best on New York. The sirloin steak was tough and in most places inedible. The side dishes of creamed spinach and mashed potatoes looked like they were left over and reheated. The salad tasted ok but had probably been made and plated in the morning... More

Very dissapointing experience. Orders were mixed up, got entres and sides to another table. My wife ordered her steak well done, I ordered medium. She got hers medium raw while mine were well done. We are still not sure we got what we actually ordered. Definitely not worth the money.

food and service was great! I would've given it a 5 star if they served our steak with the correct doneness. We asked for medium and it was rare...It wasn't only our table, the table beside us as well. So we had to wait before we can start dinner. Thank goodness for the bread and butter.

I was hoping to have a great steak night, but instead I had great disappointment. Dinner was for 4. The appetizer was mediocre with the fried calamari undercooked. We had the NY strips and a T-bone. Steaks were not evenly cooked, specifically the T-bone. The T-bone ranged from rear to medium well, as it was to satisfy several people with... More

This steakhouse is on 33rd Street adjacent to the old Philadelphia Hotel right across from Madison Square Garden. The food was good and served family style. My husband and I shared a 20 oz. Porterhouse steak, and it was excellent. The restaurant was very crowded before a MSG concert, so service was slow, but our server was very attentive once... More

I have been there a few times. The steak is just ok. I have tried the sirloin and porterhouse for 2. The sides dishes of creme spinach and mashed potatoes are good. Service is very good here.

The Statler Grill harkens back to the golden age of the big band era, and is named after Ellsworth Statler, who ran the Hotel Pennsylvania from 1919 to 1954, when musicians such as Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie and Glenn Miller played at the Cafe Rouge, the hotel's main dining room. The Statler serves classic New York steakhouse prime steaks and chops as well as daily delivered fresh seafood, while the bar and lounge serve a delicious grill menu. Located just steps away from Pennsylvania Station and Madison Square Garden, it is the perfect place to have a breakfast meeting, a meal before an event at the Garden, or just to relax with friends and co-workers during happy hour before you hop on the train. It is all about the food and service says owner Joseph Lavelle. "I want my guests to enjoy themselves, have a great meal and return again and again".
