Special food, top service, elegant space and situation. Good prices. We've tasted many special indian dishes. Top. That's all.

To begin, this is a fine dining experience & the ambiance is good. They have 2 different seating areas. I would suggest to make a booking before you go in as it is booked all the time. Although I was underwhelmed by the taste of the food, presentation of the food is good but taste wise it did not match... More

To start off every about Junoon is superb. Vikas Khanna did an amazing job with this place. The service was great, the waiters were very friendly. The atmosphere is very calm, perfect for a dinner after sunset. The food is a perfect replica of authentic indian food, and the most real indian food you'll find in New York, possibly even America.... More

Got treated to lunch by a visitor to the US - a strange way for a New Jerseyite to find out about a Michelin starred Indian restaurant in NY. Exquisite menu by Chef Vikas Khanna - a chef flown to India for Obama's visit. The four of us tried one entree each in the 3 course for $30 Lunch menu.... More

Excellent ambiance and impeccable service. The space and decor were very good. We had the price fixe lunch. Food was well prepared and presented but overrestrained on the spices. Disappointed that rice did not come with the meal but the naan was very good. Pickles came free upon request but weren't really pickles, rather some green chillies and thinly sliced... More

A recent repeat visit for lunch in the casual dining area up front suggests the kitchen continues to deliver...the pre-fix two or three course menu has interesting choices for $25 or $30 and is worth sharing.

For a fine dining experience combined with warm hospitality and a memorable experience, this place is a must visit. The food was lovely, ambience perfect and price is on higher side but worth it. You may also meet chef vikas khanna while there and if you do, he will make sure you are well taken care of. An excellent personality.... More

For the price we paid, we really expected much more. Our dinner companions are from India and simply said, this is not the same tastes that we have at home. That says it all! Now the details. The sommelier would not give us time to adequately look at the wine list. Quite annoying. The waiter suggested lamb kabobs, which my... More

Classy decor with separate sections for casual(Patiala room) & formal dinners. The mocktails were creative & tasty. Starters, a bit letdown esp. the portion sizes - we had the Shrimp in piri-piri sauce, very average & the sheek kebab stuffed with cheese didn;t work. Main course was quite good - Chicken kofta curry, Lamp chop(very tender & tasty) & lobster... More

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
