We wanted dinner before our Broadway show and decided an Indian restaurant would do nicely. We made a reservation and when we arrived we were seated immediately in their main dining room. The menu offers two choices. 1. A tasting menu for $90 or 2. A three course meal for $60. When we asked our waiter if we could order... More

This is the best Indian restaurant I have been to in NYC and one of the best I have ever dined at. The mutton, shrimp, and chicken all had great spice combinations and amazing flavors. The restaurant is a bit pricey (you'll easily spend $70 USD per person with a couple drinks.). The nan was fresh, hot, soft and went... More

This was perhaps my third time for lunch at Junoon. As usual, everything was excellent. Good service, tasty dishes, refined atmosphere. Unquestionably, this is one of the best Indian restaurants in NYC.

Loved every dish, starting from appetizer to dessert. This is the best representation of Indian cuisine. Chicken appetizer was just out of this world. Special mentions to desserts - phirni, faluda and kulfi.

If you are going to this place to enjoy good/tasty Indian food; then just know that there are many other better options. This is a hyped place for food though the chef here is a celebrity. If you are headed here for a business dinner, then this is an apt place. Good pairing of food and wine by a very... More

We have been going for almost 5 years now. Met Vikas Khanna a number of times as well. His food continues to be fabulous. But the owner has put new rules in over the last few months. Children under 13 are not allowed in the main dining. They can sit and eat in the adjacent room that has a bar...what... More

Team Junoon does it again! An amazing experience from start to finish. Their passion to build customer excitement is truly inspiring. From the getgo with Shanta and the reception team to Romeo, Hemant, Hiren and Ted with the wine - the experience was genuinely brilliant and memorable. Happy Birthday Hemant and welcome aboard Ted! who made sure we didn't miss... More

I have been to many Indian restaurant in NYC and I'm still looking for the best....I have not found yet. We took waiters recommendation and ordered chicken dumplings with creamy sauce with prune. I asked if it could compare to malai koftka....he sad yes. We were very disappointed at this bland cream sauce with chewy chicken like meatballs. To me... More

A superbly charismatic restaurant with Indian food at its best albeit with a twist..... Junoon lives upto it's star ratings and delivers on all fronts. The food is scrumptious and the small nuances and twists to make the delicacies cater to a Western and International clientele are done in style. For an Indian experience in New York look no further...

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
