On a recent trip to NYC, we ate again at Le Parisien . . . and the evening and dinner were just as good as when we visited there a couple of years ago. It is a small French bistro with excellent food. I started...More

We return here when we are in NYC. This time we took friends. We and they were not disappointed. We had salmon, pork, and steak frites, followed by crème brûlée--all terrific. Good wine selection. Good prices. Friendly staff. Bistro atmosphere as in Paris. Highly recommended....More

Perfectly balanced and seasoned onion soup, the sweetest, tenderest mussels ever, addictive fries and probably the best duck confit I've ever had! Fabulous creme brulee, too! And the sweet, rustic room made me feel like I was far from NYC, in the French countryside. Lovely...More

My husband and I love an honest FRENCH food. This place was a surprise for us as quality /and nice service. Very "PARISIEN" like. We will come back in our next visit to NYC.

It was open!! But closed early. We live in the hood, so we walked. This is our neighborhood French bistro. Small (you need reservations) and far from fancy. But, you'll feel like you're in a local non- touristy Parsien hideaway. We haven't tried everything, but...More

Stumbled upon this great bistro while in the neighborhood for work. Try the steak frites with a glass of red wine to unwind! Save room for the Tarte Tatin.

Great Murray Hill local. Mussels to die for. Our food could not be better. Ambiance in this location is a challenge given the tiny space. Waitress was superb. Only think I would like is a slight larger wine selection.

Le Parisien is the go-to neighborhood bistrot for Murray Hill, offering classic French food like steak frites, escargots and moules marinieres, paired with a well-edited list of french wines. Chef Johnathan Masse brings his expert knowledge of comfort food, having most recently served as sous chef at the Waverly Inn, and also for Chef Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto. Along with owner Christian Merand, formerly of Jean-Claude in Soho, they have created a restaurant that focuses on serving consistently great traditional food with a lively and unmistakeably French atmosphere. Also open daily for lunch and brunch on weekends.
