My husband and I go to NYC once a year for a few days. During that time we always try to visit some restaurants that we have not tried before and that are highly rated. Too often we are left mystified as to why they...More

La Parisien is what I would call, a very quaint and EXTREMELY CRAMPED French restaurant. We made reservation for 9, and had to come back when arriving at 8:45. There was no table, because two couples arrive and the place is packed. It’s literally a...More

We travel quite a bit and thus know something about Parisian bistros. This unassuming place in the East 30's just nailed it. Smallish room, simply decorated. Gracious service. Outstanding food. Started with carrot/ginger soup. With the first spoonful, we felt we were in Paris. Went...More

This is not a tourist bistro. Very small, but not real noisy. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. Service was very good as well. We started with the escargots and the curry cauliflower soup. Our mains were the duck confit and the...More

Classic French bistro in New York. No frills but a good culinary experience. Reasonable choice both in menu and wine list. Will be back.

Had an early dinner at this Tiny but cute and comfortable restaurant. Would imagine it might get a little tight as the evening progresses. Staff was lovely and attentive. Authentic French fare but surprising large portions. Will certainly return.

Le Parisien is the go-to neighborhood bistrot for Murray Hill, offering classic French food like steak frites, escargots and moules marinieres, paired with a well-edited list of french wines. Chef Johnathan Masse brings his expert knowledge of comfort food, having most recently served as sous chef at the Waverly Inn, and also for Chef Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto. Along with owner Christian Merand, formerly of Jean-Claude in Soho, they have created a restaurant that focuses on serving consistently great traditional food with a lively and unmistakeably French atmosphere. Also open daily for lunch and brunch on weekends.
