About
Le Parisien is the go-to neighborhood bistrot for Murray Hill, offering classic French food like steak frites, escargots and moules marinieres, paired with a well-edited list of french wines. Chef Johnathan Masse brings his expert knowledge of comfort food, having most recently served as sous chef at the Waverly Inn, and also for Chef Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto. Along with owner Christian Merand, formerly of Jean-Claude in Soho, they have created a restaurant that focuses on serving consistently great traditional food with a lively and unmistakeably French atmosphere. Also open daily for lunch and brunch on weekends.

Our hotel concierge clued us in to this delightful hole-in-the-wall. It’s small, lively, noisy with tables close to each other. Food was excellent. We had the duck confit and half chicken. Highly recommend the baked artichoke salad starter. Great wine list for such a small...More

This tiny French Bistro is a real gem. Our party of four had dinner at Le Parisien on the recommendation of mutual friends, We were not disappointed. The restaurant's decor is cosy with a lot of French ephemera. The staff were very friendly and welcoming,...More

What an authentic French bistro !! The owner and our waitress were French, and the food was like all the good food I've has at bistro's in France. Small, compact, with an unpretentious room and casual feel. Very comfortable.

The chef knows what he/she is doing !! Great little gem of a restaurant. A little tightly packed because of the small square footage, but not a problem. Wine only. Will definitely return.

Cozy and unassuming restaurant. Decent food with good service. Portion size was good and staff was pleasant but not overly solicitous.
