The rail Line is a classic but more upscale version of a typical diner. My rule is to order "diner" food when in a diner. This proved successful in this visit for dinner. Service was friendly when I server finally arrived. And efficient. Our food...was "typical"More

On a visit with family we stopped at this diner for lunch. I ordered a salad with a scoop of tuna salad. I took a bite and the other 3 people at the table asked what I had bit into after hearing my tooth cracking...after biting into an olive that still had the pit in it. It was not a case of there being just one olive with a pit because I checked the others and they had pits as well. I have never had a salad where they add pitted olives to it, so I was not expecting it. The second day after this happened I woke up with throbbing pain, called my dentist in Florida and was called in an antibiotic for the infection from the crack that was now in my tooth. Now I have a temporary crown waiting to see if the sensitivity will go away or if I will need a root canal also due to the crack being so deep. So beware of pits at this diner if your order has Olives!!More

This place was great for breakfast! They have a brunch special for $18 which includes a drink (Bloody, Mimosa, etc) coffee and many breakfast choices (including vegetarian options). The coffee mugs are designed to be held in your right hand but , the coffee is...excellent. There are many omelets to choose from. I will definitely return, but will bring my own coffee mug!More

Visited twice during a recent stay in a nearby hotel in New York. A large establishment patronised by locals as well as tourists. Mammoth portions of well-prepared food from a mammoth menu. Rapid and attentive service.

Went with friends for a quick dinner before a movie, and the diner worked out well time-wise. Fairly standard fare — I actually had “breakfast” which was prepared well — the eggs poached just as I like, the bacon crispy but still flexible. Not too...busy when we went, but clean and with everything available on a big menu, you can’t beat a diner for choice.More

Called in with 3 others on a bleak, rainy Sunday. Order taken quickly, food took a bit longer than expected, but when it arrived there was plenty of it. Would go again
