Family breakfasts, friendly staff and nice menu with good mix of options. Exceptional omelettes and good size portions without being too large.

Had Sunday brunch at this place on our recent trip to NYC the blueberry pancakes were the best I had all week. Nice atmosphere inside and I love the Art Deco style. I would recommend this place.

The cheesecake was splendid and the menu might be very big, but the foods still sublime. The desserts are delicious and will satisfy anyone's taste buds.

The service was a little slow. The waiter was very sweet but I don't know if it was because it was 4 am or the waiter was just busy with other things. Wasn't too busy. I ordered home fries and 2 scrambled eggs. I didn't care for the home fries. Weren't cooked through enough for me and too much pepper.... More

We didn't want to continue to wait for Clinton St breakfast so we stopped in here. The breakfast dishes came with mimosa's or another alcoholic beverage choice built in for $15+ each. Too bad we don't drink with meals. That made the price for a weak breakfast $40 after tax. Red velvet pancakes were pretty good, more like a dessert.... More

An excellent example of the traditional American Diner. Well located on E Houston, it is clean, spacious and the staff are very welcoming and attentive. They have a very varied menu and the food is plentiful and well cooked. Excellent value for money and the restroom facilities are clean and presentable. If you are in the area then this eatery... Had breakfast here, really good food, came with fried potatoes and toast as standard. Felt like a very traditional diner, lots of space inside, nice staff and great value.

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
