The staff here are so friendly.. very attentive to the customers... now the food is a totally different story. Yes the food comes in huge portions, but doesn’t mean it’s good to the taste. Personally for me it had no flavor, at all.. one day...I ordered a Cubans sandwich and let’s say I ate a few fries only.. the sandwich was terrible.. I can’t recommend this place, maybe if you’re only going to eat pancakes or waffles it’s ok..More

On holiday with family in East Village NYC. Had breakfast on our first morning. Superb pancakes and omelettes

The veggie burger was surprisingly tasty and filling. I had it with sweet potato fries which were very good. My daughter had the pulled pork which she loved. On the side of the pork came a spicy Cole slaw which was unique and had quite...a kick. My wife’s onion soup was not well done on the top (which she asked for) so she didn’t quite enjoy that. I had a strawberry cheesecake for dessert which could have been creamier.More

The shakes here are real good. Food was decent but nothing to write home about, staff are friendly but service was a little slow.

We went here for breakfast as it was local to our hotel in lower east side. The first morning my husband went for an omelette which come with potatoes and toast, although I think it said fries on the menu, so my husband thought it...was chips as this was also the impression the waiter gave him. When it came out it was like shredded potatoes with peppers and honestly didn’t have much flavor but the omelette was nice and cooked well. I myself opted for the lumberjack that consisted of bacon & eggs plus pancakes. Now I wasn’t sure if this would come out all on one plate but thought I’d give the American breakfast ago. When it came out the bacon and eggs both cooked perfectly came on a separately plate and when the pancakes came out, I could see why. They were huge as you can see from my picture. I decided to try some bacon and eggs with a small piece of pancake, but it wasn’t to my taste so decided to egg my bacon and eggs with some of hobby’s toast and then we both attempted to eat this mountain of pancakes. They were really yummy but way too big for us to finish so we ate what we could, finished our drink paid and left. WE certainly did not need to eat again for most of the day. As we enjoyed our breakfast this morning and the service, we good, the staff were friendly we visited here again during our trip. This time we both just went for bacon and eggs. I like the fact they ask how we liked our eggs to ensure they were cooked perfectly to our liking. My husband did ask for sausages with his also but I’m not sure the waiter understood so he just had bacon and eggs with the potatoes and toast which we both enjoyed. Reasonably priced and good portion sizes. Would dine here again and recommend.More

We loved our visit to this classic exquisitely maintained diner. The food is tasty the service is excellent and it’s a fun way to enjoy a meal. The burgers, wraps and sandwiches were so good and we wished we had left room for dessert because...they looked delicious. A great place to visit in LES.More

We went for breakfast and had the french toast. I would have liked it a bit more flavorful... I don't know if they use cinnamon in the egg wash so that might have been why....BUT with the syrup and bacon it was good! The portion...was HUGE. They give you four pieces of very thick bread and I could only eat 2!. Great atmosphere and done up like old shcool. I would love to go back and sample their other items.More

Going to a traditional US diner was on my to-do list during our trip to New York. It’s something we don’t really have in the UK, and from seeing millions of diners in films from Pulp Fiction to Grease to Dumb and Dumber to American...Graffiti, it was something I wanted to check out in a tediously touristy way. Remedy diner was great. It was near our hotel on Bowery and looked like it ticked all the traditional boxes. I was just after breakfast and wasn’t intending to recreate scenes from the movies, so everyone was happy. We were welcomed in warmly after standing awkwardly for a few seconds by the entrance in a typically uncomfortably, British ‘what do we do now?’ way. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The menu is colossal and takes a bit of getting used to if you’re not familiar with New York diner fayre. Food was really good and you get so much plus non-stop coffee refills. If you’re visiting NYC and want to visit a traditional diner, you can’t go far wrong with Remedy, we loved it.More
