Don't let the quaint interior fool you - this place is the real deal! Probably the best pizza outside of Italy I've ever had. Super thin crust and so, so tasty! The only thing I didn't care for was the wine - overpriced and not so great. But the food was super yummy! And try the cannoli!

Feels like a little family restaurant in Italy. Great wood fire pizza. Friendly waiters with good service. Easy to find from Times Square.

My mother and I ordered the Prosciutto and Arugula pizza and it was fantastic. Brick oven cooked - very authentic (and my mother and I have traveled to Italy numerous times). The tiramisu was light and presented beautifully. Would definitely recommend to friends!

Sunday evening was quite and we got a table without waiting. Small and intimate restaurant. Big wooden fireplace gives some credibility as does the italians serving. Pizzas are amazing, thin and crusty, all toppings are fresh and the package is better than I remember having in any italian restaurant (abroad or in Italy). Deserts were excellent also, try the canoli... More

I was looking for places to eat near my hotel in Time Square and read on tripadvisor about Capizzi restaurant. After checking in to the hotel I and my 9 year old son walked to Capizzi's. It is very close to time square and so worth the trip!!! The restaurant had seating but we chose to order to go and... More

My husband and I dined here after an afternoon broadway show and we were not disappointed. The crust was thin and crispy an d the spices, portabella mushrooms, red peppers and big chunks of onion were all fresh and delicious with just the right amount of cheese.

We were in town exhibiting at the Fancy Food Show. Capizzi was close to our hotel so we thought we'd give it a shot. We always love the small "Mom and Pop" Italian restaurants and Capizzi was certainly no disappointment. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by one of the waiters and he seated us at a table at... Lots of places claim to have the 'best pizza in NYC', but they're ALL wrong.....the best pizza in NYC (or anywhere else I have been) is served in the unassuming surroundings of a small, basic pizzeria in Hells Kitchen : Capizzi. Well worth a trek round the back of the Port Authority Bus Terminal, unless you are satisfied with the... More

We saw Capizzi on foursquare and saw the great reviews, luckily for us it was right by our hotel too, but we definitely would have travelled to the restaurant knowing now how good it is. Only a small place but so good, the food, the staff, the drinks (especially the homemade lemonade) were all so great, so tidy in there... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
