Random surprise find... And what a find it was!!?

Just around the corner from this hotel, we popped in early evening. Great service and the best pizza I have ever eaten. Go for the 'loaded' and the 'artichoke' pizzas. Fresh, tasty, light.

There's nothing better than a homemade pizza in a Woodfire oven. As soon as you enter the small, authentic restaurant, the smell of the wood burning really adds to the atmosphere. The pizzas are made to order and it's nice to see the chef making it in front of you. Try the homemade sangria too, it's divine. After a long... More

I really enjoy this small, laid-back restaurant. It has a nice atmosphere, the service is good, you never feel rushed, and the pizza is delicious. The pizza is listed on the menu as "individual" but you could certainly share one. However, I like to order a different combination for each member of my party and share. The crust is thin... More

Very authentic Italian thin crust pizza with great service - pizzas and salads were both top notch and desserts were really fine -what you would expect in much fancier place - alittle pricy but it is NYC

I had been to Italy and had pizza there, but Capizzi simply brought back a memory from a trip in Rome. The taste is closer, if not as authentic as, then any one you can find in the state. It is also inexpensive for what you get. Although it is small, but it is what pizzerias is like in Italy.... More

Good pizza and good atmosphere... if you're looking for NY pizza by the slice, you won't find it here. It's a little small but quaint. We stopped here after a Broadway show.

Went here twice in one day on a trip to New York. Ambience is awesome HAS CHARACTER like you are in someone's living room and the staff is family. Food and service was exceptional. Not what I typically experienced in my weekend in NYC. We had a party of 7.

The place is family orientated with a warm ambience to it. However, the food is not overly great as suggested. I was disappointed because I expected more I guess.

We really loved the pizzas. Would give 4,5 stars to them..but the restaurant was soo cold inside everybody had their jackets on..that took a lot away from the experience. Hope for them (and other customers) it is not a continuous situation in winter times. I just wish they had said something about it as they clearly saw many were unconfortable.... More

Wanted an authentic New York Pizza, but ended up finding an Italian Pizza place that was unbelievable. This was great and was full of locals prepared to sit back to back in this tiny restaurant. Give this place a go, you will enjoy it.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
