Went here tonight. Service started off very slow - didn't realise you could seat yourself and then waited nearly 10 minutes for any kind of menu. Once I got the menu though I then ordered within a couple of minutes and my wine arrived very quickly and the pizza followed in less than 5 minutes. It was delicious. Very thick,... More

We were walking around looking for a place to eat lunch and stumbled onto this neat restaurant. Great Antipasto plate and mouth watering individual pizza. Excellent service from very helpful servers. You will not regret trying this little gem.

We fancied pizza for tea one night during our stay in NY and read the good reviews so decided to try here. This is a small family run restaurant. We arrived just in time as there were a few tables to spare but these rapidly filled up after we arrived and before long a queue was forming outside. We originally... More

Outstanding Pizza. Capizzi is a small joint, just across from the Port Authority. Cute and with a brick, wood-fired oven. All I can say is that there dough is one of the best I've had. My husband (who is very Italian) and I have eaten a lot of pizza over our 49yrs together, and they are absolutely one of the... More

We was searching desperately for a pizzeria, I'm glad that we didn't find one before Capizzi. The restaurant felt very familiarized with super friendly staff, they answered all questions. The chef was brilliant and supportive when we asked questions too. The pizza was one of the best I ever have had, I do recommend the restaurant.

I have been there October 2016 for a quick dinner. Pizza was good, pretty napolitan style. Price is ok. Staff was really friendly and the atmosphere is nice. A little bit too much the stereotypi of the italian Pizzeria. I would come again.

Good pizza with a traditional Italian flavor to it. Plenty of options to choose from and the staff is pleasant and there to serve you quickly. If downtown and looking for a good pizza place this is the spot for you

I give few five star ratings and this is one of them. The pizza has a thin crispy crust, sauce and topping just like I've had in Southern Italy where each person can have their own pizza since the diameter is about 10 inches. The Sangria is pretty good too.

I noticed Capizzi's while in my cab. It looked like the perfect place to get a pizza and boy it did not disappoint! The Margherita pizza was delicious. The atmosphere was nice as well. It is a quaint little place that would be a great place for a quiet dinner with your better half.

My husband stopped in early for dinner. We had just arrived in the city and were looking for something good and local. We were not disappointed. Pizza was simple and good!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
