Loved this place!!! The food was delicious. The restaurant is small and cozy, and very busy. Staff is friendly and efficient. Did I say how delicious everything was? Good wine selection. Super clean restroom... Will come back!!!

We went to Jeffrey's after having dinner at Amelie, just around the corner. Atmosphere at Jeffrey's is dark and mystifying which is perfect for a late night drink. We sat at the bar and ordered the Farewell Hollywood cocktail and the Spring Fling. Both drinks were absolutely delicious. Bar tender was a definite wizard in mixology. We also had some... More

Jeffrey's could be a great place, with pretty good food, cocktails, and so on. Unfortunately they became complacent and the service is not what you would expect. Avoid it!

Met our son in NYC. This is a popular spot with the locals. Small place but nice. Attire- folks in business attire after work, casual, and shorts & tees. Super selection of shell fish. I had a shrimp cocktail , the guys shared a nice size Caeser salad. Dinner selections: 1 hanger Steak, & 2 orders of Bronzini- all were... More

Made a pit-stop here on a hot day in Greenwich Village and decided to take on a selection of oysters and some Narragansett Beer. The oysters were excellent and the beer suitably chilled. It wasn't cheap but the quality was good. The place is like a converted grocery store and has a nice atmosphere, too.

Went for the grilled oysters and nice wines by the glass. Excellent service, the tastiest oysters and great selections of wines. Highly recommend.

Why do restauranteurs employ staff that have no idea what they are doing. Went with friends to this establishment, but none of us got to eat. When you are handed (but ours was tossed at us) a menu you should also be told the specials of the day and what is off the menu. We ordered from the menu that... More

This place was excellent. It's has a cool vibe, totally west village. Not only are the oysters amazing, there is a large selection of them. Customer service was out of this world. Check this out, a very cool place and totally worth a visit.

Went to this restaurant for Brunch with a friend. It's that popular we had to wait, but it was worth it. It's very rustic and not very big, but this adds to the ambience as it was buzzing in there with the chic 'young' things of NY. We started with a lovely mimosa. As there was a good menu choice... Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
