From the moment we arrived to when we left, everything about this restaurant was fantastic. They were accommodating when I asked for a switch of sauce and the seafood pasta I ate was the best I have ever had outside of Italy. The staff was very attentive and the owner checked in on us a few times during the evening to see how we were doing, this on a busy New Year's Eve. My partner loved her meal as well (pesto pasta). The tiramisu dessert was delicious and authentic. If we'd had more time in NYC, we would have returned to Olio e Piu. I highly recommend it!

My roommates and I have been dying to go to Olio e Piu for a long time and we were not disappointed. We asked our waitress Victoria for a wine selection and she suggested the Cortese after we told her we liked dry whites. It was exceptional. They bring you bread with olives, artichoke and extra virgin olive oil which was a great unexpected touch. We ordered the Fresca e Pesto pizza and it was so great. Two of us ordered the carbonara and it transported us to Italy. My other Roomate ordered the linguine alle Vangole. She said and I quote “it was phenomenal”. Our waitress, Victoria, was so helpful and communicative. She was so friendly and made us feel so at home. We could not have been happier with the atmosphere, the food, and the service. This will be a new staple for us.

Just went to olio e piu for dinner and was served by susanna. The food and service was amazing and they catered for my vegan diet with no issues. They informed me of all the available options and I went for the vegetariana pizza without cheese which I definitely recommend. Will be back again on my next trip to New York.

We booked after reading the reviews here, for dinner for two on my wife’s birthday. We arrived a little early to a full and quite noisy restaurant. The young lady “greeter” said “you’re early, go over there” whilst waving vaguely and dismissively towards the bar area. There was little space there but we did manage to get a couple of drinks. While we waited, more people arrived and were brought to the bar area but given menus to peruse. We finished our drinks just after our booking time - our “greeter” had forgotten about or ignored us the whole time (25 mins) so we left. Unsurprisingly she didn’t notice us going. We walked around the block a bit and found somewhere much more welcoming. Such a shame that they could treat people so poorly - especially on a special occasion. It was one of the few poor service experiences we had in our week in New York.

An overrated and way too crowded restaurant. All you could hear was noise and people right next to you. Tables are so close to each other that waiters can hardly move. The food was overvalued and nothing special.
We had the fettuccine al tartufo that we would see everywhere on critics, which was ok but nothing special and way to small for its price. Our main courses came with one hour of delay, of course the lady was very kind and brought as a free desert for the delay, however, waiting one hour between starters and main is not a very pleasant thing. Our salmon was so much cooked it was burnt and our casarecce with lobster was tasteless.
Overall all I can remember was a noisy , crowded and in a rush tasteless experience.

We made reservations on open table, showed up a few minutes early and requested they seat us outside. They did and split up 3 tables for 2. The people that were seated next to us arrived about 10 minutes later and got their food first. The folks seated next to us on our left also seated later knocked our bottle of water over and the wait staff watched and did nothing.... When we finally got our food it was good. The caesar salad was good but small, the gnocchi with pesto was good but not great, and small. The spaghetti carbonara was good but not great and small. The bread was good. All in we had a small salad two plates of pasta and 3 sodas and it cost 140 dollars. 21 dollars for 3 sodas......Way overpriced and crowded. The hype was not worth the experience. Not going back! Oh, now open table is saying that we did not check in so even worse for the service. Not quite a one star but getting there.....

Came here for lunch today, and to start, it is in a great location and they had plenty of outdoor seating which makes a nice change to most smaller places in the West Village. We ordered starters and mains and drank water as didn't fancy wine with lunch. The food was decent, as was the service, but it was nothing special.
The reviews and prices (typically $35 to $45 for mains) seemed excessive for what was a low 7/ 10 at best. It's a decent spot, but I wouldn't go there again when there are so many other great, authentic Italians in the city.

This place looks great on the surface, decor, music, friendly staff and general ambiance. The prices are typical NYC however, the wait staff consistently suggested to other tables and mine that we should order appetizers, salad and a meal. Uhhh luckily I’m old enough to know better but the suggestive up-selling was rampant. I ordered the most expensive wine by the glass and could barely get it down before the next pressure sale happened. The food? It was good but not much better than average. The prices? Probably a bit high for the food but the place was cozy and really nice. Would I go back? Maybe, but so many other choices in NY and this staff is not happy unless u break $100/ a head!

Olio e Piu was pretty packed in its "outside" porch and loud when I arrived for brunch and by the time I departed, the entire restaurant was even louder and crazier. This place is obviouly popular. I was granted the option of a seat inside at the bar; an offer I gladly accepted as I enjoy the free entertainment food creation provides.
I had a couple of Ron Zenzeros. The first drink's arrival was delayed but was pleasant enough; the second showed up promptly and had a definite ginger kick.
For food I ordered the Emiliana salad and then the spaghetti carbonara. The salad didn't skimp on either the cheese or prosciutto. The spaghetti was outstanding and I wished for more pasta, it was so good.
Service was spotty and had a real pacing issue; my main server's time seemed to be consumed by juicing limes then helping the bartender rather than working the floor. The supporting servers appeared to have a smoother rotation and delivered the dishes more or less in good time. However the flow broke down completely at the end and efforts to signal that, first I wanted to order a dessert, then as the clock kept ticking away with no attention, instead that I was ready to leave, did not register. At last, a different server was deployed to obtain my check.
The spaghetti was delicious, but I am not sure it'd be worth braving the chaos and risking being forgotten to return.

Wandered around after a show and saw this attractive restaurant beckoning from across the street.
Warm light, clean and attractive said - "Come in sit down , have a bite or 2."
It was crowded and we had no reservation, but we were able to get seated at the chef's bar without wait.
Got pasta and salad, and got to watch the efficiency of the cooks as they plated meal after meal.
Food quality was great, simple pasta with meat sauce was delicious and the beet salad was colorful and tasty.
My only issue was the tightness of the space we had, actual table space was so small, and once seated it was difficult to get out.
Also, although it is fascinating to watch the cooks, it gets very warm so close to the stove, and that can be uncomfortable.
When we return I will try to do so with reservation and sit nearer to the windows.

celebrated my birthday dinner here and it was the best experience I could have asked for! the staff was so attentive and even gave me a flower/tiramisu when they found out I was celebrating, soooo sweet! The margherita pizza melts in your mouth and the truffle pasta was to die for. The flowers throughout make for a great photo op and make it feel like a nice little garden tucked into the busy city. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Italian food in the area.

Ended our lovely day of shopping and pampering with some fine dining at this cute and very conveniently located trattoria in the West Village. When you live in NJ and your girlfriends live in Harlem, this is the perfect mid location for brunch/lunch/dinner. A block away from NYC Metro and across the street from the PATH. Olio E Pui was extremely packed and understandably so, the food and drinks (both cocktails and mocktails) were impeccable and great prices. Would definitely recommend making reservations before hand (even a day or two before) , but even if you decide a last minute walk in - it’s worth the wait.

I visited this place randomly last week and was blown away by the great time that I had. It takes up the entire corner on its street and has plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. There are so many outdoor seats, it will be perfect for spring and summertime.
I pass by this place quite often and I always stare at it because the outside decor is just so cute; it’s chic and rustic at the same time. The interior is just as nice and the lighting is perfect.
During my visit, I chose to sit at the bar and you don’t even realize you’re sitting at the bar because the stools are just so comfortable. There’s also a big mirror hanging on the wall so you get a great view of the rest of the restaurant.
I ordered the Giardino cocktail and it was delicious, definitely recommend. The biggest star was my Caesar salad, they nailed it! Caesar salad is my favorite food and the one from here is now my top choice whenever I’m craving it next. I ordered mine with chicken and it was perfectly cooked with a tasty and slight char on it. Everyone around me ordered pasta so the pasta here must be great too. I will be trying one next time!
On top of everything, the bartender this night was fantastic. His name was Jason and he was just so funny and attentive. He made everyone around the whole bar laugh. He literally talked to everyone and you don’t see much of this here in NYC.
When you come here, definitely ask for Jason, order the Caesar, try every single cocktail and take home a pasta. I will be coming back to make sure I try everything on the menu.

We stopped for lunch at Olio e Piu in the West Village. We did not have reservations and they were very accommodating on a Sunday afternoon. There is indoor and outdoor dining, it has a great vibe and atmosphere.
To access the menu, you need to scan the barcode with your cell phone.
We shared a bottle of nero d'avola, a Sicilian wine. It is one of my husband’s favorite wines.
My husband had homemade pasta carbonara, it was very fresh and tasty. The rest of the party ordered various brick oven pizzas (margherita, vegetarian and campagnola.) The pizzas were very tasty but the bottoms could have cooked a bit more.

Olio e Più is a great restaurant! Not only is the food delicious and truly reminds me of my trips to Italy, but the service is exemplary. The waiters are very caring and gave me great suggestions, especially Suzana who took great care of us. I strongly recommend the Pasta Carbonara!
