Cannot recommend this dining experience enough. Booked from the UK using Open Table and requested window seat as special birthday celebration. Day before reservation received phone call to confirm our booking (had already been confirmed by mail). Was told all window seats had already been reserved when I booked. Arrived at restaurant and greeter wished my friend happy birthday which... More

Want a really nice brunch with great views of Central Park- then try Robert! They have typical brunch menu with omelets and eggs and lobster benedict but they also have a nice lunch selection with salads and excellent salmon and chicken dishes! All the food we had was very tasty and delicious! Service was also excellent! Robert is located right... More

Robert has a five star location on the top floor of the somewhat ideosynchratic Museum of Art and Design, but delivers a three star experience. If you have one of the few tables with the view of Central Park you're ready for a treat -- although the decent food is only marginally above average. If you don't get the view,... More

Located on one of the higher floors of the Museum of Arts and Design. Once you step off the elevator you step into a whimsical world of color and design and look over the trees of Central Park. It's magical. We ate brunch here. I had the delicious pancakes. They were the perfect consistency - not too thick, not too... More

Robert the restaurant on the 9th floor of the Museum of American Design (MAD) at 2 Columbus Circle is a feast for the eyes. Reserve a table by the window to take in the breathtaking view. Lunch includes a $38.00 prix fixe but if that is too much food, there are numerous selections to satisfy the carnivore to vegetarian. Our... More

Went for Sunday Brunch, the atmosphere, food, and view were amazing. I requested in advance for a window seat and they accommodated my preferences to a tie.

Nice place, specially if you are seated at the windows on Columbus Circle. The service is kind and the food correct. We experienced some delay on our second dish but that happens in crowded restaurants. Some seats are more for a cocktail lounge than a restaurant and not very comfortable and are far away from the nice view.

Comfy contemporary lounge, good service and fantastic view. Enjoyed all of our dishes, challah French toast, omelets, chicken avocado on pretzel bread. Glad we got there on the early side for brunch (11:30). Was packed by the time we left.

Thank Jory A

Robert is a modern American restaurant housed within the Museum of Arts and Design with an amazing view of Columbus Circle and Central Park. Enjoy dinner and a bottle of fine wine from our collection in our beautifully designed dining room. Have a seat in our lounge next to our baby grand piano and sip one of our cocktails.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
