Life changing I tell you. Thanks to the pastry chefs who tested and refined these cupcakes from heaven. Layers - pudding - amazing g frostings that are NOT sugary and too sweet - instead are creamy and rich. Got four in a box and it felt like two pounds.

I tried two other places and while those cheesecakes were good, they were not close to this one. At the end of the others I felt like I ate too much sugar, but with Red Hens' cheese cake I didn't have this. It has the perfect consistency and a great crust. Friendly people in the store as well and it... More

We were told by locals to try the Brooklyn Blackout and we loved it! I also bought a buttermilk biscuit that my grandmother would be jealous of! It's a cute little coffee shop with great positive energy and great, great baked goods!

This is a super small bakery with excellent sweets. There are cupcakes, pies, cakes, cookies, cheesecakes and coffee from Irving Farm. My sister and I walked in on a whim one day and ordered a snickerdoodle cookie and a coconut cream cupcake. Both were so flavorful and fresh. I'm a big cupcake snob, and these are the best in New... ...and people know it! This little shop is busy non-stop! Some of the best cupcakes I've ever had! Try the mini sizes and get several flavors. They also have mini pies- the key lime. WOW

After queuing for some 15-20 min. we had a red velvet cupcake and a NY cheesecake. Given the reviews an the queue we were expecting heavenly sensations and mouthwatering delicacies. We found a standard sponge cake with a too cheesy iceing and a slice of cheesecake unbearably sweet. We couldn't finish it. Definitely not to our taste!

I am completely in love with this bakery. I make special trips from a long way away to get treats here now and then. My two faves are Brooklyn Blackout cake/cupcake or the Peanut Butter/Chocolate Cupcake.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
