The location is nice and characteristic (almost right below the Empire State Building), the restaurant has a good atmosphere and an excellent kitchen. The service is good and the prices reasonable.

They were closed for redecoration, looks the same although the lighting is too bright. Big dining room, friendly service, standard menu rolls are reasonable but specials can get very expensive. We enjoy this place for reliable sushi. $30 excluding specials and wine per person

The salmon nigiri was amazing, and the other rolls were also good. Fried green tea ice cream is a strange but appropriate dessert.

Been here several times for lunch and dinner. Always excellent. Yes it is more expensive than some other neighborhood type places but you get what you pay for and some of their dishes are unique

Far from trendy, this place is all about the fish! Excellent sushi and sashimi, great service. I've been going here for the last 10 years and it is consistently the best sushi in Murray Hill. Caveat: Waiters try to push pricey daily 'specials" Be careful as the prices on those specials can add up quick.

Ok so the ambiance could use some work (and some would argue location as well), but if you don't like the fresh fish, then i'd argue you simply do not understand sushi. Some of the rolls are a bit too much- gargantuan and gregarious, but the quality of the fish has been keeping me coming back for years. The portions... More

I have been here over a dozen times. The sushi is always the freshest and the tastiest of any place I have been to in NYC - perhaps anywhere. If you elect, they will put little garnishes on each piece that really bring out the flavor of the sushi. Fair warning to pescatarians - this is one of the few... More

Although the staff were very good and the atmosphere is fine the sushi and tofu were not for me. Firstly I had a cold tofu dish which usually highlights the taste of the tofu. This was all about the overpowering sauces..jalapeno, spicy and souped up soy. Did nothing for the tofu. They are trying to be inventive with the sushi,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
