My friend visits her daughter in NYC quite frequently and told me about a Chicken dish cooked under a brick that is for 2 people. She absolutely loved it and went back with her daughter another time. I came to visit and guess where we went. I agree, its really delicious. It has potatoes, broccoli rabe, crispy onions and wonderfully... More

We are so glad we made plans to have dinner with family and friends at Marc Forgione. The cozy, relaxed, warm atmosphere proved the perfect location to visit. The food was delicious. Service friendly, helpful and available when needed. Recommendations by the wait staff were excellent. We enjoyed the chicken, pompano, and halibut. The hanger steak was the only thing... More

We got an early seating as we were going to a show. Our waiter Chaz was very friendly, knowledgable and attentive. He suggested the Kampachi - Tartare, Avocado, Pinenut, Saratoga Chips, Sechuan Button which was outstanding. We had the Halibut en Croute, Hazelnuts, Sauce Proposal and it too was cooked perfectly and delicious. Our chef friend in San Francisco recommended... More

We came here for a special dinner on our weekend trip. On arrival I was surprised they didn't ask to hang up my coat. We were 15min early for our sitting which seemed to be an issue. None of the many loitering staff came to us so after 10 minutes sat at our table we had to ask for menus.... More

We went here on a recent visit, hoping to see the Iron Chef himslef...and he was there. I feel like chefs who are in the restaurant lend an air of consistency and quality that you don't always see as they rise in popularity. He was there...and the food was wonderful! We skipped appetizers and went straight for the chicken under... More

This place is fantastic. The best Bloody Mary's ever, great appetizers, wonderful dinner, desert and wine. A New York must do.

My husband and I recently visited NYC and ate at some great restaurants, but the best was Marc Forgione - we so enjoyed the food we had dinner there twice. The Kampachi Tartare was delicious, light and beautifully presented. The Chilli Lobster and Chicken under a brick were taste sensations and quite different to more traditional lobster and chicken dishes.... More

Marc Forgione is solid great restaurant. Been there many times although its my first review. in the summer love to seat outside but inside is equally good. This time took Heirloom Tomato Salad for appetiser which was very good specially with the bread. Main course took the Wild Striped Bass which was cooked very nicely. Portions are good so you... My wife and I , who live and work in the New York City area, as well as travel extensively, recently had an anniversary at Marc Forgione. The night and the food were fantastic in every way. We were welcomed to our table with an anniversary welcome form Marc Forgione, and our waitress was attentive, helpful, and overall very nice.... More

Had a lovely dinner with friends at Marc Forgione. It is more than just a meal. You are lead through by very informed servers and well crafted food selections. All the menu choices have combinations of every day and exotic ingredients. The halibut was excellent as was a special veal sirloin. The swordfish was underwhelming but the stuffed zucchini flower... Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
