My wife and I came here for V-Day, a couple days early. We were a couple minutes early and were led to the bar to enjoy a pre-dinner beverage. After about 10 minutes at the bar, we were seated. Decor of the place is rustic and great. Really like what the designer did. Waitress was quick to come and begin... More

Had great first night in NY in this restaurant. This restaurant is in trendy neighbourhood of Soho. It is popular with locals, not many tourists. Food is tasty and prices are ok (for NY standards). We had the chicken under the brick and it was just a bit too much. :) The atmosphere is good and would definitely come back.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while mainly due to the incredibly romantic decor and abundance of candles! I brought a friend here for her birthday dinner and we were both really happy with our experience. We had a 5:30 reservation and by 6:30/7 the place was jam packed. I'm not sure if it's because our... More

The food was excellent - foie gras, potato ravioli with creme fraiche, cheese, chives. pancetta and potato skins. The brick chicken as always was sensational and the cote de boeuf lived up to the recommendation and its hefty price tag. Little touches throughout the service were impressive and the wine list provides a good range of options for all budgets.... More

We dined here based on our son's recommendation. Everything about the restaurant was five star- beautiful, cozy, upscale space- great bar- very friendly and efficient staff. And the food ( most important) is off the chart- delicious, creative, extremely well prepared and presented. Again, based on our son's suggestion, we had the chicken under a brick. Wow! What a mélange... More

Tried this place twice in the past week, once for brunch and once for dinner. The food is very good, creative and beautifully prepared and with assertive flavors we all enjoyed very much. The menu selections are more limited than many places but there is plenty of variety on the dinner menu to please all palates. The brunch menu is... More

My friend visits her daughter in NYC quite frequently and told me about a Chicken dish cooked under a brick that is for 2 people. She absolutely loved it and went back with her daughter another time. I came to visit and guess where we went. I agree, its really delicious. It has potatoes, broccoli rabe, crispy onions and wonderfully... More

We are so glad we made plans to have dinner with family and friends at Marc Forgione. The cozy, relaxed, warm atmosphere proved the perfect location to visit. The food was delicious. Service friendly, helpful and available when needed. Recommendations by the wait staff were excellent. We enjoyed the chicken, pompano, and halibut. The hanger steak was the only thing... More

We got an early seating as we were going to a show. Our waiter Chaz was very friendly, knowledgable and attentive. He suggested the Kampachi - Tartare, Avocado, Pinenut, Saratoga Chips, Sechuan Button which was outstanding. We had the Halibut en Croute, Hazelnuts, Sauce Proposal and it too was cooked perfectly and delicious. Our chef friend in San Francisco recommended... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
