Great, relaxed atmosphere, excellent service and fantastic food. We had the short rib and the guinea hen with sides of puréed potato and leeks. All of it was delicious. We just wanted to lick the plates. Rich roasted flavour in perfect amounts. The desserts were great too. All of it could be described as high quality comfort food. We would... More

Choose anything. Whatever is your preference will be perfect and delicious, from cocktails to appetizers to a salt-encrusted fish de-boned at the table, to dessert. A great spot for a special occasion or a special client. We had a little too much attention from the waiter; while I can appreciate that his energy comes from his busy night, we were... More

My daughter was turning 21 and circumstances led me to have to book a restaurant at the last minute. Craft fit the bill for everyone's taste and we were lucky enough to get a last minute table. The staff was so welcoming, especially to my daughter, and the food was so unique and invent that it was a memorable occasion... More

The six of us had an enjoyable Saturday evening dinner. The service was outstanding and our waiter was so friendly and helpful. We all ordered cocktails and then shared various appetizers. My husband was very impressed with their wine list. We took the waiters advice and each ordered our own entrée but shared the sides family style, which was a... More

My husband and I had a business dinner here last Friday night with 6 others, including a 4 year old. We opened the place up at 5:30, and by the time we left at 9:00 it was packed! The food was great and service was excellent. We got the short ribs, risotto and morels, and all were foodie-worthy! The champagne... More

Went here with three of my work friends after a long day. They had a great selection of beers, but unfortunately only seemed to get bottles or cans. The food was pretty good, I had the young chicken which was really nice and a big portion. The starters were excellent, nice sausages. Service was OK all in all we had... More

We dined here for the first time last night. EVERYTHING about the experience was great. We were seated quickly. Our server explained the menu to us - things are served family style (though entrees are portioned for one), the menu is based on seasonal ingredients and changes frequently, etc. He and all of the other servers who came by our... Living in France, we came to NYC to commemorate my wife's 70th birthday. On that day, we went with 2 family members to Craft. Ambience was very good, personnel tres gentil, wines good, personal attention - my wife's menu was with a mention of her name on top. But: 2 persons ordered monkfish and we got the information that there... More

Haven't been here in years. Atmosphere modern without being off putting; nice lighting a little noisey, but not so you can't talk. Very good service. But the food is the star: braised short ribs were fabtastic -- three of us had them. Other diner had the Amish chicken, and loved it. First courses were oysters for three and white asparagus... Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
