Reservation right on time. It was one of the best meals my wife and I have ever had. Plenty of food - couldn't finish all. Staff was excellent. Yes it was pricey but not much out of line with other NYC fine dining establishments.

Let me first say that the food was stunning. We had the suckling pig prepared five ways, and every variety was creative, delicious, and visually interesting. The hen of the wood mushrooms were fantastic. In fact, all the food was absolutely top notch. The decor was interesting. It was maybe a touch noisy, but not terribly so. So, why three... More

Went to NYC in May 2017 as a belated birthday gift. My significant other made reservations and must have told them it was for my birthday because when we walked in, as I was distracted admiring the floral arrangements (stunning, like everything else in this beautiful restaurant), the hostess wished me a happy birthday and offered to coat check my... Outstanding food -- every dish. We shared three main courses and a few appetizers for four people. They included quail, fish (hake? -- forgot), and soft shell crab. Mushrooms as side dish. It's hard to beat, but not low cost -- after all, it is New York City. The atmosphere is lively, but you can easily carry on conversations across... More

Went for dinner last Saturday night. The food was amazing. We had the beet salad, octopus, crispy bacon and the short ribs. They also have a huge selection of wines. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated. Would definitely go back.

Was one of the original "creative American cuisine" places and I'm happy to report it's still great. Easier to get a reservation now and not as unique as it once was but the food is still excellent. Most of the plates are designed for sharing but portions are moderate so you don't need to share if you don't want to.... More

Sorry - I wasn't able to put the correct date on this. Easter 2016 dinner at Craft. We arrived right at our reservation time and were greeted by the hostess. She took our coats as we were ushered to our table. Enjoy the total experience - soft music, ambient lighting, booth textures, and the outstanding service. As you would expect... More

My wife and I decided to eat here for our 15th wedding anniversary and boy did we leave happy. We started at the bar area, where we were made a green lantern cocktail, great service and great drinks. We were then taken to our table and the waiter, Cesar, started to take us through the menu and answer our questions.... More

They had a prix fixe menu for Easter brunch, and it was really delicious. The restaurant was gorgeous, the service was amazing, and the food was out of this world. I can imagine the "regular" menu is even more to die for. It's not a cheap place to eat, but it's an amazing splurge for a trip to NYC!

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
