This is not a Michelin restaurant based on service. Rather, the food, decor and ambience more than makes up for the poor service. I say "poor" because we had dinner the other night, and not once, not twice but (to quote poor John Kerry) "thrice"...our order were screwed up. Each time with an apology (though we're not sure to this day whether they removed the items from the bill since we were so drink on their fabulous wine), but if you're going to be a Michelin star restaurant, you can't screw up orders. Also, the server basically was absentee most of the meal, which I typically enjoy, but again -- if you're rated Michelin star -- I should not have to constantly look for a server, or pour my own wine, or get orders screwed. I am guessing Craft agrees with me. That being the case, the food was INCREDIBLE and though we sat outside that evening (on the day it was called for Biden-Harris to celebrate), I loved the decor. Amazing interior. I will go again to give the place another chance (Note: I ate dinner at Craft's sister restaurant years ago, Craftbar, and thought it was fantastic).More

Over rated and really arrogant service staff.. over priced for what you get. My original review was so scathing I have been forced to re wrote it. Just avoid it unless you have money to burn.

The meal I’ve ever had. Never thought I’d be able to actually make that call, but I’ve been mulling on it for just over a week, and it simply was. I can’t think of another time when my taste buds have enjoyed themselves so much....6 of us visited and simply the wine, started and mains that we tried were simply amazing. I think I tried everyone’s starter and certainly tried everyones main. We had Oysters, Beet risotto, short rib, venison, lamb and (OMG) wild bolognese! That’s just the food I can remember! Next time I go, I really want to try the $6400 wine but I’ll need to win the lottery first... I very much hope this place comes to London soon! Well done guys! I don’t say it lightly. JamesMore

We enjoyed a special meal in the Private Dining Room down a couple of steps from the main restaurant. Our meal was as always extraordinary. Our server Cesar was lovely. The Sommelier Brooks paired some lovely wines with the tasting menu. All of the dishes...were perfect.More

From the pear cocktail, to fabulous bread and every bite thereafter, a delicious meal. Oysters plump and briny, wild boar pasta delightful and the duck portions immense. Loved the constant water service and level of service just perfect. Only disappointment was the pistachio ice cream,...but the bourbon ice cream great. Noise volume a little loud but tolerableMore

Had been looking forward to eating at Craft since seeing it on TV programme Billions. The restaurant is located not far from Madison Square Park and is a large space with high ceilings and good atmosphere. The food was good, although we both felt it...could have been hotter, and we were a bit puzzled by the family style format on the main courses. Service was friendly and efficient, although they did seem a bit keen on turning tables - maybe that’s New York for you! It is a pricey place, and because of that, you expect perfection.More

Very fresh and delicious food. Great selection of vegetables and deserts. Very friendly waiters. Spacious and not very noisy (a rarity in NYC!) so wonderful place to catch up with old friends.

It is hard to describe our wonderful experience at Craft. The genuine warmth shown when we were greeted and shown to our table started the experience. The entirety of the staff in anticipating all of our needs in considering the food and beverage selections and...presentation was never ending. The knowledge of Mesrob, our waiter, as to the ingredients and manner of preparation of each of the offered selections was unique. In total, it was a great experience. We were allowed all of the time we chose to sip our wine, savor the bread offerings and select our meals - even though the restaurant was busy. Our favorites were the octopus appetizer (to be shared). The two large pieces were slowly cooked until tender and grilled to perfection (and served with a variety of peppers). We then shared the duck confit and the braised short ribs as main dishes. Each was cooked to our liking. We also shared a large portion of a variety of grilled and sauteed mushrooms (many varieties). Dessert was a shared home made small donuts with caramel and marshmallow sauces and ice cream. While not inexpensive, the a la carte menu is certainly reasonable. The wine list was varied and reasonably priced. In all, one of the best dining experiences in New York.More
