We shared main dishes, sides and a dessert. They call it family style but portions are reasonable. Food is fresh and delicious and and not over complicated. Reasonably priced. Cocktails are very good as well. I appreciate the tables aren't on top of each other either so able to have a conversation.

This place was far from my hotel I live but came here for the reviews. The ambiance is superb. Lighting perfect and music soft and not loud. What impress me is the wine stellar covering one side of the restaurant and the leather padding on the other side.. Food impressed me too. You should try out the walnut seasons salads.... More

Every detail of Craft is carefully selected; the exquisite wine selections, to the amuse bouche, to the menu itself down to the complimentary breakfast muffin to-go for the morning after they gift you on your way out. Craft is a mastery of fine food, fine wine and fine service in an era where attention to detail and the art of... More

We went to Craft for a birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. It was the night of a snow storm and the restaurant was not full. It seems that there were a few other birthday celebrations like ours, and the restaurant staff is well versed in welcoming birthday diners. Tables our well spaced and large for NY. The wine... More

The service and dinner were outstanding. We had the quail and the short ribs and both were delicious. I would definitely put this on my top rated restaurants ever and the attention to detail was par to none.

Long time watcher of Top Chef. We went to Craft for my husband's 40th birthday. Our server was phenomenal and very attentive as were all of the servers. Our wine glasses were never empty. The menu was personalized to say happy birthday and he got to keep it as a souvenir. Grilled octopus first course was fantastic. We were also... More

Excellent food, welcoming atmosphere, solid service, decent value. Far better than many "hot" newer Manhattan restaurants. Impressive focus on our birthday celebration.

Went here for lunch as our son wanted to dine at a Tom Colicchio Restaurant while visiting NYC. Reservations on a Tuesday afternoon so very quiet. Food was beautifully presented and service impeccable. Unusual lunch entrees. Stopped at Craftbar on the way to restaurant as it is around the corner. Appeared to be quite busy with holiday parties.

Craft is one of my favorite restaurants we enjoy on our annual visit to NYC. This time I decided we would have two dinners there. The first one I booked online for Saturday the 17th and the second one I called to book for Wednesday the 21st. I'll start by saying their cocktails are wonderful! Every visit the cocktails are... I've been to Craft a handful of times. It's generally very good. However, last night we ordered the $105 steak, a striploin. Aged 35 days (allegedly), it was un-eatable. I mean literally not eatable. It was tough, tasteless and leathery. I could barely cut it with the knives we were provided. Did I complain? No, I'm always uncomfortable doing that,,... More

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
