What a selection of meatballs and sauces. All made fresh while you wait. Waiters provide very good explanation of menu. Next to Raos , best meatballs I've tasted in NY

The Meatball Shop is definitely worth a visit. With various ways to build your meal, you would be spoiled for choice. I got The Kitchen Sink (with Family Jewels) and washed it down with a nice cold beer — happy days.

It's was crowded, loud and the food was outstanding! Service was really good and they are funny! Had the suggestive sign inside on the wall "Show Me..." They give you a felt pen and a plastic order form and you need it because they have so many good things it is hard to decide. Four in our party and my... More

Went here on recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed. Great service from a friendly hostess and the food was exactly what we needed on a cold day - hearty and filling. Definitely worth saving space for the ice cream sandwich.

We stumbled upon this place because we were staying near there. What a gem! Great concept--meatballs of all kinds served a number of different ways--different sauces, and over various starches or veggies. The bar tender helped us figure out what to order. The laminated menus were cool--you used a marker to check off what you wanted, and then the bartender... More

Loved the wilted spinach Base-healthy alternative. Hope it comes to London. Good atmosphere with catchy eighties music very nostalgic ☺

Went for a late lunch and could have stayed longer to enjoy the vibe of The Meatball Shop. The staff is super friendly and will gladly walk you through the menu. They also have a full bar and decent beer on tap. The meatballs are not large but they pack a ton of flavor into the different meatballs available. The... More

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
