A diner with typical offerings for breakfast and lunch. Efficnet service and the food is just fine if you want a simple breakfast experience

We ate at the New York Luncheonette twice on our recent stay in New York. The staff remembered us and served delicious food fast, and at a good price. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

Atmosphere: Very casual, simple décor....nothing cute or fancy Service: Fairly curt, no chit chat Menu: Lot of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner Price: Affordable by NYC standards Overall Impression: Quick service, decent food, fair price. I think this a good option for families that need a variety of food selections. Average price will be around $15 pp. Our selections....... More

With no coffee shop in the hotel, the NY Luncheonette was located around the corner - easy walk. Fast service; all kinds of bkft dishes; lunch, etc. No alcohol.

We couldn't leave the US without having pancakes and bacon for breakfast - you can't really get it in the UK and it seemed like a staple. We were not disappointed. Inexpensive and friendly. Bottomless coffee. Would definitely recommend for a no-frills, no-fuss, no-nonsense brekkie!

Clean attentive safe restaurant. Great for tourists and travelers. Lunch and dinner done well no issues First time breakfast this morning was one exit short of horrible. Eggs and toast were fine. Hash browns had consistency of mashed potatoes with little green pepper flakes in there. No discernible chunks of potatoes at all. Also flavorless. Sausage links were also flavorless... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
