I wish there was an option between "average" and "very good." I thought this place was good. Above average, but nothing extraordinary. It took us about five minutes to even be acknowledged once we walked in. Hey, I get it. Restaurants - especially in Times Square - get busy. Anyway, we finally got seated. The waiter was friendly, but each... More

Great brunch experience. After checking into the hotel, we went exploring near Times Square. We stumbled into this gem. We were seated right away. Service was quick however we didn't feel rushed. True Tony Bennett thick cut French Toast was a delight. My wife had the salmon bagel tower. Salmon was a generous portion. She said it was delish! Enjoy... More

We attended before attending a show at a nearby theatre. The food was reasonable and up to standard as you would expect from any other New York diner, although the serving were not like other establishments gigantic. Service was quite poor and the price like most other establishments around the theatre district is more expensive. I wondered whether the poor... More

Called in for late lunch (staying in The Casablanca next door) It's basically an overpriced burger joint.....food was good (had wrong burger served?) but very disappointed with service! Server was very indifferent, looked very bored taking our order! No refills were offered, when we explained we had wrong burger he just looked annoyed!! A bit of communication training wouldn't go... This was second time at the Brooklyn Diner for their coconut cake. Delicious and large, too much to finish for sure, along with two other family members getting their famous cheesecake and lemon meringue pie. Wonderful place to get an old fashion treat.

Family with three hungry teens needed dinner quickly. After being turned away from some packed places, walked into this place and lucked out with a window table. Prices were high, but it's Times Square. And the food greatly exceeded expectations! Cheeseburgers and a Meditteranean salad with blackened shrimp were awesome. The chicken pie will feed 2-3 people.

I recently visited NYC for the first time with my mother and was recommended to go to the Brooklyn Diner as a great place for breakfast by my cousin who has been to the city three times now. And what a recommendation it was! My mother is disabled so could only get around using a wheelchair and they could not... More

Was back in the city on business (since June) and made sure I visited this diner at the same location again to just see if the wonderful experience I had in June 2016 would be my same reaction. It was ... for Time Square location, this diner is reasonably priced, service and food quick not to mention, great taste and... More

Last trip Jason was here and the joy abounded. Menu has been slashed. It;s more or less a burger joint.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
