This is the reason why you visit NYC for places like this. Just a block off of Times Square this hidden gem is a must. The pastries are beautiful and the staff is friendly, room to sit and eat and enjoy. My son and I ordered a ham and Swiss and a Nutella croissant because they are large enough to share and I wanted to try a sweet and a savory. The croissant was flaky and fresh and exactly what I was hoping for, the kind of croissant that you have to keep Dusting crumbs off your sweater while you eat. They serve them in a cute little basket instead of a plate and they come warmed to order. I highly recommend you taking a break from Times Square and checking this place out. My only regret is that I couldn’t bring some home with me.

Stumbled upon this gem. We had to order multiple pastries in order to try just a few of the many delicious offerings. The board in the front window alerted people to which pastries are prepared at what time so you can get them super fresh. All desserts tried were very fresh and so sweet.

Walking by Angelina, the pastries in the window are like a magnet. Everything is so well presented, with so many sweet and savory pastries that it is hard to make a choice. We were drawn in, and I got both sweet and savory pastries for a takeout breakfast. They were as good as they looked, with very fresh looking and tasting fruit on the fruit tart. There is one line to choose your pastry and another for the cashier, but both lines moved quickly. Their desserts looked good, too, although we weren't able to return and try those.

But the taste lacked the same pizzazz. The large, glazed donut tasted OK but not sure it was worth $4.25. The Nutella bombolone ($4.25) was stuffed with a large portion of Nutella but was tough to cut and eat. Both items looked fabulous in the counter and were said to be some of their more popular items. The staff was friendly and guests can takeout or dine in at one of the tables in the store. Visitors can watch the baker at work in a glassed in work area. We might have hit at a bad time so we might try again perhaps earlier in the day.

I went there with my young adult child. We received one pot of room temperature hot chocolate, a divine montc blanc cake and some tasteless nut cake. The waiter, a white young man with a spiky hair, first arrived w the hot chocolate pot, pointed to one of the cups and said 'here?', My child said 'yes', so before I understood what the waiter was going to do, the waiter poured the whole hot chocolate pot into that cup. I told the spiky haired one that we meant to split it between our two cups and we meant to pour it ourselves slowly (to keep it hot). In a big huff he took the cup with the hot chocolate plus the empty pot back while SCOLDING me that I should have said so beforehand. Worse, after a while he came back with the hot chocolate in the pot but it was LUKE WARM. I think they just poured it back from our cup to the pot and let it sit a few minutes sigh. In addition, he just dumped on the table the Mont Blanc and the lousy nut cake. I didn't want to spoil the outing with my child so I didn't say anything. But they surely made me feel bad and moreover, if this is the kind of things they do with your hot chocolate, you do wonder what else is going on in the kitchen.

Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast here-had a ham croissant, custard donut and a ham focaccia breakfast pastry. It was one of the most savory breakfast foods I've ever had. Plus, it kept us full for quite some time. Their coffee was also delicious. They have many other breakfast options and baked goods to try. Seating available on 2 levels so good chance of getting a seat and enjoying your food/coffee. Friendly efficient staff. Will definitely make this a regular stop of our trips to the city.

We stopped in here recently Bought two cream-filled donuts and two cans of soda for $30. Yes, you read that correctly. $5 for a soda. Yes, I'm an idiot. Donuts were decent, but too heavy to eat in one sitting.

What a great find! It was a few steps around the corner from the Archer hotel we stayed at and so glad we found this Gem! We ended up getting coffee each day here and had brunch one day. So delicious and the staff was the best. We ate at another well known French bakery around the corner and the service was just jot good and the food was less than ideal. We wished we would have eaten at Angelina again. If you want delicious croissants and brunch dishes with excellent coffee and amazing service this place is perfect!

As my wife and I were searching for some food to sustain us on our 3 hour train ride from Penn Station to upstate NY, we discovered a patisserie, Angelina Bakery on 575 8th Ave, New York, NY 10018. We ordered a couple of slices of gourmet Pizza and some Desserts. Someone up there must really really like me...I randomly chose a Chantilly Cream Bomobilna. It was a Vesuvian eruption of creamy delight. If you find yourself anywhere in NYC, I heartily recommend you treat yourselves, and friends, to a Chantilly Cream Bomobilna or two.

Randomly stopped by since I walk by this place all the time and have never gone in. I live a couple blocks away and have always been tempted by the delicious window displays and the smell of freshly baked treats as you walk by. I try to eat healthy and never go to donut shops or bakeries because I'd want to devour everything, but I felt it was good to support a local establishment. It was worth every single calorie!!! Each bite was a delicious treat. There were 2 lovely people working there that were just personable, friendly, & attentive. I bought 2 tasty baked goods a nutella filled donut and a raspberry filled croissant. YUMMMM!!! The place was super clean, everything protected behind glass, quick, easy, & delicious. I HIGHLY recommend!!!

I have to confess we ate theee different things in one evening, because, well everything is irresistible. The pistachio bombolone was heavenly. Stuffed to the gills with creamy, pistachio goodness. And the mini croissants were also filled with luscious cream. And the Nutella latte. Yum. Oh and the apple and fruit soft cake. Good to the last tender crumb.

This place has such pretty presentation with their baked goods, as a baker I greatly appreciated the consistency of the goods. Then we were helped by this lovely worker Isaiah, he was so sweet to us and helped us pick out the prefect baked goods since we had never been here before. Highly recommend visiting just for the sweet service alone!

After having dinner one night, we stopped here on the way back to the hotel for a sweet treat to eat in our room. We each chose a different pastry, and the bill was just over $50 for the 5 of us, so very expensive in my opinion, hence the 4 star rating rather than 5 star. The cakes were very nice, not spectacular, but enjoyable nonetheless.

My boyfriend and i were walking past the street when we saw the pastries in the window. Firstly, the presentation and first appearance was amazing by the way We walk in, and the workers were extremely kind and considerate. We got a nutella donut and a ham and cheese focaccia. the ham and cheese was A- MAZ- wait for it- Ing. the nutella donut was a little too sweet for my taste but if you love nutella, go for it! 🍫. They also brought the drink to us which was very kind ! Look how we devoured everhthing in the photo
