Pre-theatre dinner was my wife and two daughters. Dinner was excellent as we experienced both the vegetarian and summer tasting menus. It was so good we challenged ourselves to dessert and were not disappointed. The service was attentive, helpful but not disruptive. Tasting menus, wine, tax and gratuity ran $275 per person. It was a splurge but we all throughly... More

Took my mom here for a dinner and everything was perfect from food to service. Didn't detect an air of arrogance from the servers of the restaurant like sometimes you would expect from this type of restaurant. Food was excellent! Great value for money. Great desserts! Definitely will come back!!!

I have eaten at Jean-Georges in the Trump Tower (don't let that put you off !) some years ago in N.Y. and was very impressed indeed and I'm happy to say he still has that extra "something".His food still manages to surprise with taste and presentation and the ambiance is relaxed but elegant, without being stuffy.Lunch is very reasonably priced for... If you are in the mood for a restaurant with 3 Michelin stars but you can't afford a $800 dinner - go to Jean-Georges for lunch. They have the same dishes on their lunch and dinner menus. For lunch, you can have two courses for something like $40 and you can add an additional course for around $10. Amazing.

Exceptional. The staff were brilliant and very attentive. It is a very relaxing place to have a meal and you don't feel as though you need to be on you best behaviour 24/7. The food was very refreshing and on point with current trends. Would go back again.

Everything great you hear about this restaurant is true. The service is spectacular, and the food is even more so. From the complimentary starters to the appetizer dishes, to the main, and the final chocolate sampler... everything is exquisite. I can still taste the fresh and yummy sea urchin that I had as an appetizer. The baked oysters are absolutely... More

Went there for lunch. Really nice, tasteful food. A twist to some classic dishes and some new exciting dishes. I think I expected a little bit more for a 3 Michelin star restaurant but overall nice service and ambiance.

The service and ambiance is very nice but the quality of food is really average given the price. The steak was no better than what would be served at an average NY steakhouse and the sauce was terrible (overly smoky). The dessert which is based on a theme (i.e. chocolate) is overly complex and confusing in an unsatisfying sort of... More

A beautiful venue, but a lacking meal. Food was good, but service and pace of dinner was a bit off. Not worthy of 3 stars, 1-2 star level cooking and service. I prefer Daniel over Jean Georges.

Description
Jean-Georges opened in 1997 to critical acclaim. The jewel of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s empire, the restaurant offers the very best in fine dining. Consistently awarded four stars by the New York Times and three Michelin stars, Jean-Georges presents exquisitely crafted dishes blending French, American, and Asian influences. The local farmer’s market is the driving force behind the seasonal, ever-changing menu. Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavor. Jean-Georges’ chic and intimate dining room was redesigned by Thomas Juul-Hansen, with striking lighting by L’Observatoire. Impeccable service, tableside preparations, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. Jean-Georges offers a three-course prix-fixe menu and two six-course tasting menus: a traditional tasting of the chef’s signature dishes, and a seasonal tasting featuring fresh market ingredients. The prix-fixe and tasting menus are available Monday through Sunday for dinner. The restaurant also offers a two-course lunch menu for a terrific value. Gentleman are required to wear a jacket. No jeans, sweatshirts or sneakers allowed. Tie is not required.
