My fiance and I dined last month. I generally am not drawn to more modern decor, but found the restaurant inviting. We had the Tasting menu with wine pairing. Every dish was more delicious than the next! The Charred Corn Ravioli, Black Sea Bass and Lava Lake Lamb Chop were my favorites. The presentation and service are definitely a performance.... More

I've been here a couple of times and the food has been consistently delicious. The service is not consistently good but I can overlook this. My favorite dish was the fois gras with grilled mango -heaven! I was annoyed when they tried to take my plate away at dessert. I was the last one to finish and they didn't even... More

Excellent menu and wine list. Staff is very professional and attentive. Jean Georges was very gracious in allowing us to have a picture taken with him. A lifetime experience.

It's hard to properly judge a restaurant based on a lunch menu however we were left slightly underwhelmed with the experience. The restaurant is in a back room of a larger restaurant which was about odd. The chefs showed their class with an excellent sea bass main but the chocolate dessert was a bit childish in presentation. This was swiftly... More

It's been a little while since my last visit to this restaurant, however it was well worth the wait. My previous visit ranked amongst one of my very best dining experiences so I was looking forward to returning. This is a high end restaurant at the top of their game and this is evident from the moment you walk in.... More

Went for lunch, the service was amazing and the food was even better! I tried the tropical themed desert which was so light and full of flavor.

Jean-Georges is one of the six three starred Michelin restaurants in NYC. And they deserve each of the stars! The restaurant is very elegant; the service is perfect. We’ve chosen the lunch tasting menu. All of the six dishes were perfect: the textures, the combination of flavors, the presentation… As the menu is composed by the seasonally available products, it... More

I and my partner regularly eat in Michelin starred restaurants from Scotland to Florence, Vienna to England and Ireland and now USA. On Friday we dined at Dovetail and found their standards to be excellent. Not so the Jean Georges. The waiting staff, sommelier were all very good and attentive. The standard of cooking was atrocious, all of the fish... More

We were looking forward to eating at Jean Georges and while we enjoyed our meal, we did feel it wasn't quite up to the expectation of such a restaurant. We have eaten at far better tasting menus of 'lower rated' restaurants in the UK. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, however the noise levels meant we couldn't hear a lot of... More

Description
Jean-Georges opened in 1997 to critical acclaim. The jewel of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s empire, the restaurant offers the very best in fine dining. Consistently awarded four stars by the New York Times and three Michelin stars, Jean-Georges presents exquisitely crafted dishes blending French, American, and Asian influences. The local farmer’s market is the driving force behind the seasonal, ever-changing menu. Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavor. Jean-Georges’ chic and intimate dining room was redesigned by Thomas Juul-Hansen, with striking lighting by L’Observatoire. Impeccable service, tableside preparations, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. Jean-Georges offers a three-course prix-fixe menu and two six-course tasting menus: a traditional tasting of the chef’s signature dishes, and a seasonal tasting featuring fresh market ingredients. The prix-fixe and tasting menus are available Monday through Sunday for dinner. The restaurant also offers a two-course lunch menu for a terrific value. Gentleman are required to wear a jacket. No jeans, sweatshirts or sneakers allowed. Tie is not required.
