Conveniently located and reasonably priced, this place is not to missed when in NYC. A quaint building with lots of character, you will feel like you have went back in time. My family and I were greeted and sat immediately by a friendly Italian man. My wife enjoyed her rigatoni and my picatta was excellent. My two daughters split a... More

I went on this restourant because i'm italian and i wanted to taste the italian food again. The boss is an italian, so he spoke with me in italian language, and I felt at home, I ordered a white pizza with some parma ham, and a beer. Later I drunk a shot of amaro also. The bill was impressive.. 10... More

This place is a must try if you're looking got exceptional service and incredible Italian food. Michelin stars are extremely prestigious in the food community and it's easy to see why carbone boasts the honor. Try the veal chop and penne vodka!

Dinner at a literal hole in the wall Italian restaurant. Not attractive from the street, upon entry you feel transported straight to Italy. A gregarious owner welcomes you with boundless good humour and classic Italian handwaving. He describes the specials in great detail like he is imagining savouring each in his mind. I had black linguine a la mare, a... More

Food was excellent - spicy pasta specialty was some of the best pasta I've ever had. Well worth a visit

A very calculated, but very good, replica of what would have been a Little Italy bistro of 50 years ago. Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc on the sound system, and Sinatra wannabes as servers. Generous portions and tasty extras abound...prices are very high for the cuisine. An experience...

My family and I decided we wanted Italian tonight. Even though we were being directly to Little Italy or Times Sq, we saw that this restaurant was round the corner so tried it out. Initially it looks small and pokey, but soon the rustic and casual atmosphere engulfed us. We had a good 2/3 course meal for $140 including wine... More

Food was average, service terrible, decor outdated, toilets dirty and prices way to high. Waitress more interested in her friends at the bar. This was by far the worst of the 20+ restaurants we visited in NYC. Don't let previous reviews fool you (as we did) - stay away!

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! The prosciutto was honey ham on the pizza and in the calzone. The bottom of the calzone was completely charred. The pizza I ordered had no sauce and was only crust and cheese with raw tomatoes thrown on and the honey ham they tried to pass as prosciutto, which both weren't cooked into the pizza. Never... Description
Small, intimate place. Run by real Italians, which shows up in the food. The place isn't particularly flashy - I feel as if many people probably pass it by, but inside past the bar it's nice and cozy with brick walls and little Italian signs here and there. Cute place and the prices are fair and the food is really good. Of note is the brick oven pizza -The service is very friendly and generally pretty snappy. The Backyard is now open. Buon Appetito !

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
