Cereal milk shake and Birthday Cake Truffles! Really good! It can be a little hard to find this place, but really worth the trip.

we stopped by after a group outing for drinks. We wanted something fast which it was.. Really interesting menu - we had brussel sprouts, sausage and rice cakes, and duck dumplings. All were very good, if a bit expensive. Clearly a popular place!

I've been here twice, both at the behest of foodie friends, and each time it has been thoroughly disappointing. Their desserts are overpoweringly sweet and lack the taste or creative flair required to back up the hype.

Cereal milk soft serve with crunch was a winner! Nevermind, if it's 7deg C outside, make sure you try this out :)

We walked here previous to our show and it is well worth it. We had cereal milk ice cream with crunch and a crack pie - delicious! Calorific but worth it! There is no seating but enough room to stand and eat for a small group. They serve stumptown coffee which we are huge fans of and service was good.

We stopped by here to try the cereal milk soft serve- which we both agreed is delicious but we were actually more impressed by the cookies. The flavors are great- but the blueberry is unlike any other cookie I've ever tried. Be sure to buy a box to take cookies home from your trip to NYC

I've been coming back to Milk Bar (all branches) ever since my first visit to New York in 2012 and they never fail to serve up inventive, tasty snacks and desserts in their rotating menu. Some of the highlights, at least in my opinion!, include the famous Crack Pie, the Compost Cookie, Birthday Cake shake, and the Egg and Cheddar... More

We visited the MIlk Bar Chelsea location on a Tuesday afternoon, there was no line. The cookies were prepackaged and some were not available, but there was still a decent selection. We got a crunchy cereal shake, b'day truffles, and cornflake-chocolate chip-marshmallow cookies. My husband thought the shake was good, he said it was weird at first but it started... More

We waited in line for 15 minutes to finally walk into the tiniest store-front. Ordered the cake balls and cookies. Was surprised to see they were already pre-wrapped. They were way too sweet and seemed processed. Not worth the wait.

Sweet Potato soft serve ice cream. You cannot imagine how delicious this is. Get it with a side of corn flakes. their bagel bombs are also pretty spectacular

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
