Friends told me about this amazing place and made me promise to go! I took my niece and sister for breakfast ice cream. They are still talking about it! What a fun concept and a great memory!

Got there around 3pm on Saturday and the line wasn't long, about 10 people in line. The Cereal Milk Soft Serve is very good and worth the hype. Must try!

I have had my Momofuki Milk Bar book for years and have been patiently waiting to come here! The first night we tried to come the line was about 30 people deep and I had a food baby the size of a watermelon and couldn't do anything but keep walking. I waited patiently for 2 days and made my way... More

Happened upon this place walking in NYC. Of course, I had to try their famous Cereal Milk soft serve with crunch. First, for a place that serves FUN food (and destination food at that), the staff seemed underwhelmed. The ice cream texture was good, but the flavor...not so much. It DID taste like cereal milk...and I guess I don't like... More

Was a little disappointed waited on line only to find out it was more of a store front and they were out of the cookie I wanted. But everyone else seemed to enjoy what they got.

There was a line, but I'm not sure what for. I was not impressed with what they had, just not my taste. The place waS hard to find. I'd give it another try another time, but it's not worth the wait if you ask me.

I mean, it was tasty and all, and did taste like the end of a bowl of cornflakes (yum) but....$6.26 for a pretty small cup? I was surprised. I was walking by and for the first time ever there was no line so - felt like I just had to give it a shot! Guess I am glad I finally... More

I was really excited for this place as it is all over the Internet. I got the cake truffles and two of the cereal milk fro yo with the crunch on the side. It's very pricey with small quantities. It was okay:/ not like amazing. Got a good picture before it melted all over me!

My family and I were excited to try Milk Bar. Unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. The cookies were pre-packaged and didn't seem freshly baked. The ice cream with cereal topping was nothing special. Can't justify standing in the long line. Bummer.

My husband and I were in the area while visiting New York, and decided to try their famous ice cream. It did not disappoint! The ice cream tastes like cereal in milk, but a much more awesome version of it. I could have this ice cream every single day! Will be back for more next time I'm in NYC.

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
