This is a peculiar place in the heart of Chinatown on Bowery West so not too bad in terms of safety though these days Bowery is different from the bad old days.

Two of us were staying in Chinatown and looking for a tasty but inexpensive dinner option. We found it at 88 Lan Zhou! Many delicious menu items....we ordered 3 things plus hot tea and our bill came to $19. Absolutely a great find!
