This restaurant was right next door to the Brooks Atkinson Theatre where the Waitress is playing. The service wasn't stellar but the chicken salads we had were great! New York prices but you can't beat the location!

Been here many times because if I have to eat in the city and pay city prices, I want not just guarantees of a good meal, but that it won't have me spending a fortune either. Service, atmosphere, food are excellent! Location to shows, excellent as well. Whether it's eating in the bar area or other levels, your dining experience... More

Great meal before seeing Waitress the musical which is right next door. We did the brunch and were very happy with the selection. Especially for someone who doesn't like breakfast foods! I had the tomato salad, the salmon and the coconut dessert. All very good!

Needed to find somewhere to eat dinner before show, and the Glass House was perfect. Ordered two lamb dishes, lamb shank and the lamb special pasta, the soup of the day and the beet salad. The lamb shank was tender and moist. The chicken mushroom soup was a perfect choice for a damp and chilly evening. The beet salad was... More

Received a $100 gift card to Glass House and had to check it out. Server was friendly. Didn't love the location of my table simply because there was lighting right on top my face which I felt it took away from the nice mood lighting throughout the rest of the place. My husband enjoyed his dinner...I don't order fish often... More

We had dinner before a show. The crab cake appetizer and special quinoa appetizer that evening were superb. All of our meals were delicious and uniquely flavorful. The waitstaff were attentive and engaging. It was a bit noisy on the second floor but manageable.

Reviewed as local Drinks with friends $ Moderate for Times Square Accepts all major credit cards *** (modern bar) Very close to Times Square. Prices are reasonable and good crowd. Popular place to start the night or catch up with friends. You will probably end up somewhere else. Good energy. I've seen the occasional Broadway cast here celebrating. Decent selection... More

You feel a great energy when you walk into the Glass House Tavern. The decor is soothing and warm and truly makes the customer feel welcome. The prompt, friendly service is delightful and the food is incredible. Executive Chef Craig Cupani has created a contemporary American menu that sets this restaurant apart from the other choices in the neighborhood. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are the emphasis here and the results are fantastic.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
