We grabbed a quick but delicious meal here before seeing a show in the theater next door. The seafood Paella was delicious. Expect NYC prices.

I know, you shouldn't expect good food in the middle of the theater district, but I had been hearing raves about GHT on the NYC forum here on TA for years so we made a reservation and had dinner here before a show last night....More

Had brunch here again before a Sunday Matinee. This is one of the best places in the heart of the theater district for a good meal at a reasonable price with excellent services in a QUIET SETTING (a very rare commodity in the theater district...More

This restaurant is a neighborhood favorite even though it is located in the every crazy Theater District. The food is consistently delicious and the staff is warm and efficient. It's great before or after the theater, though they rarely take pre-theater reservations. HOwever, they usually...More

We chose this restaurant because they had duck on the menu and my husband loves it. He said it was excellent. I had chicken, which was good, but I usually don't order it out (because I make it at home). But it appealed to me...More

If you're going to see a show at the Barrymore or Brooks Atkinson, this place is the perfect choice for a pre-show meal/drink. I sat at the bar, and the service couldn't have been any better. The bar menu isn't too lengthy... but the food...More

Our meal before seeing 'Waitress' a few doors up from the hotel. They asked us if we needed to eat before a show and planned it all around getting us served and out on time. I know this is expected by many but they pulled...More

I've never eaten at the bar, so can't address comfort. My guess is that since you are dining solo, you will be able to get a seat at the bar. Linda

Description
You feel a great energy when you walk into the Glass House Tavern. The decor is soothing and warm and truly makes the customer feel welcome. The prompt, friendly service is delightful and the food is incredible. Executive Chef Craig Cupani has created a contemporary American menu that sets this restaurant apart from the other choices in the neighborhood. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are the emphasis here and the results are fantastic.
