This is our go to family restaurant. We live in the building and love having such a wonderful Japanese fusion sushi restaurant on our doorstep. The staff are fantastic. Great wine prices! I cannot rate it highly enough. Fresh and delicious.

Very special place for residents of the Roosevelt Island. (Nearby metrostation F-line Roosevelt Island) Nice plan to buy a lunchbox and eat it on the roofterrace of your apartment building. Or for a small daytrip: take the "Tramway" onto the Island and go for lunch. Very good food and really priceworthy. Open 7 days a week from 11:00 am to... More

There aren't many dining options on Roosevelt Island but Fuji East won't disappoint. The food was good and plentiful, and good value too. The service was pretty bad but what can you do. There is outdoor seating which is very pleasant on a nice day.

The sushi was very good. The service was not, but par for New York. I would definitely go again. I tr4ied some of each of the dishes served to the different people in our party. All were excellent.

This tiny restaurant (with a sushi bar) is on Roosevelt Island, which is worth to be visited. Food is not expensive, big menu, we had soba and udon, which were good - not outstanding but good. Service ok.We didn't try sushi, this will be at our next visit.

My wife and I have often picked up a quick lunch from this above-average Japanese bistro on Roosevelt Island. Their food is very good and the lunchtime prices are great. We have never tried them for dinner because of the location (it's too far off our beat in the evenings) but the menu seems to have some great offerings. Our... More

Sashimi with miso soup was quite good as were other dishes ordered by our party. Very nice outdoor seating area adjacent to good-sized green space. Server was efficient but quiet by nature. Reasonably priced for lunch. We would return if we had occasion to revisit Roosevelt Island.

This was really good food and is in a great location. I had both sushi and hibachi and they both were outstanding. We will definitely visit again!

Fuji east is located right in the main plaza of Roosevelt Island. The food is good and prices as well. the only minor is the service, they are extremely fast in bringing checks and clean the table that you would like to enjoy the meals and the time a little longer...especially if there is no line and most of the... Good value Japanese food. Service is very efficient and prices competitive. During the winter months I would recommend the ramen dishes which are very warming and tasty.
