No frills dumplings, vietnamese rolls and more. Maybe a wee bit more spiciness would have been nice.

We were there on two occasions. On both occasions, the restaurant was well patronised. Some of the staff appeared flustered and the service was inconsistent. The menu is not all that extensive. I was, however, satisfied with my order - the #6 rare beef rice noodle Pho and a plate of small spring rolls. The Pho was flavoursome and the... More

I arrived just before 20:00 on weekday. The restaurant was quite full, there was no queue but still occupied most of tables. When I saw the menu, the price for pho(regular size) looks quite reasonable compare to the other Vietnamese restaurants where I have been in US. (about $6.95?, anyway less than $7 excl. tax). The other places were about... More

The atmosphere and smells from the kitchen were attractive from the moment I walked in the door. Coming straight from Europe on an 8 hour trip mad me very hungry and tired. I ordered pho , traditional Vietnamese soup with fish balls and fried spring rolls. Everything freshly made and served quickly with a smile. Like being back in Vietnam.

I love this little place, but for some reason I thought they had Banh Mi. I didn't see it on the menu the last time I went. Maybe they have it and you have to ask for it? We got a curry soup and a vermicelli noodle dish with grilled pork and spring rolls. I crave this food so much!... More

I hit this place up on New Year's Eve, and got the Pho Dac Biet. It was quite good. Not Eden Center or Upper Darby amazing, but pretty dang good pho. I was served quick, it was hot, cheap, and yummy. The place has a weirdish decor that doesn't feel like the typical Viet place, but it was still comfy... More

Tasty dining at Nam So'n restuarant in China Town. Very well priced, friendly staff that take time to explain the menu and unlisted options! The experience is not rushed as with some other restuarants. Great eatery!!!

It was difficult to make a choice from the menu after walking by many tables where diners were enjoying delicious looking food. We finally decided on the $27 "menu for two" which included spring rolls, rice cakes, beef, vegetables and lettuce for wrapping. There was also an interesting piece of sugar cane wrapped with some sort of shrimp mixture. It... More

I was here for lunch today and ordered the "Suon Heo Lan Bot Chua Ngot" (sweet and sour pork) for $10.75. White rice was included. They served complimentary tea but I ordered a Diet Coke ($1.75?). I enjoyed my meal. My pork dish consisted of chunks of pork inside a roundish batter in a sweet and sour sauce with vegetables... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
