Thought I'd pop into Capital Grille as I was staying just down the road from it. Sat at the bar as I was eating alone that night, and was served by Dan the bardender. Dan gave amazing service friendly, sassy, and very quintessential New York. He also happened to make the best Manhattan I've ever had. Food was fantastic and... More

Booked here by mistake as we were looking for another similar restaurant in the area but not being from the City...you got it, once in we didn't feel like leaving so we gave it a try. The food was generally good (but not to the standard of our favorite) but costly. A small bottle of beer is 15.50 and some... More

Everytime we visit the US, we book a lunch or dinner at The Capitale Grill. It was our first time in this Midtown location (we had previously been in the one on 42nd St) and we highly enjoyed it. We booked our family lunch through their website and told them we were going to celebrate our daughter's birthday. It was... More

Better burger here and the best part is dessert and teas here. Bar is super busy at lunch and place is packed. Each server has stars for good service. Ours tried to push pelegrino but I haven't done goat bottles since I was 23. Corporate crowd.

Great food and service. They will accommodate you with the preparation of a dish, for ex: I chose the sea bass which they prepare in a soup, I prefer it broiled, and that's what I got. Ambiance is nice , waiters were very professional. My family enjoyed their meal and drinks.

My wife and I selected this restaurant for dinner before attending a show a few blocks away. The staff as a whole was professional, attentive and friendly. We were never rushed. Our waiter Josue could not have been more helpful, even inviting us to request him by name on future visits. We appreciated him sharing his knowledge of their extensive... More

There for a bday but also for restaurant week, fixed menu had good choices Filet, sea bass..Got oysters as a appetizer, small for price. Clam chowder and sweet corn soups, worth every penny. Liked Sam's mash and the green beans with heirloom tomatoes, main courses all good. They have a good selection of wines, too. Had the flourless chocolate cake... More

We've eaten at the CG several times, but this was the first at this location. As expected the service was good as was the food. The lobster/crab cake, and the lobster bisque apps were excellent. Steaks were perfectly cooked and tender. Lobster was succulent. My only complaint: we had a voucher for a free calamari appetizer, as a result of... More

We come here every year for the Pre- Theatre menu. You have to ask for it as they don't really push it. Excellent value. Great quality food all around with friendly wait staff. They even acknowledged our special anniversary with a nice dessert presentation. Enjoy.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
