Three of us were in for dinner Wednesday evening. Not very busy. We had a porterhouse for 3, $140. Potato pancakes and cottage fries. The steak was OK, nothing special. The potato pancakes were lumps of over deep fried potatoes with no flavor. The cottage fries were sliced potatoes deep fried, some were like potato chips others weren't cooked enough,... More

So, this was my wife, son and myself. First problem...cold bread. We had 3 Petite Filet Mignon. Mushrooms. 2 Knob Creek on the rocks. NY wife had 2 prosecco wines. My son had a Coke. And a dessert. My steak was very good. My wife's was overdone. My son's filet was " little crusty". For $300 after tip. Not impressed.... More

Given the weather forecast for heavy thunderstorms we wanted something close to theater we were attending. For one thing, they are no longer on 45th street. When we got there, we found a sign with new address on 46th street Restaurant was surprisingly empty for a Friday night pre theater. There pre fix was 55 for a salad (which was... More

I was there with a business associate and my business partner on a Wednesday night for dinner. I should have known that with Keen's Steakhouse around the corner packed to the gills, and being able to be seated in a relatively empty restaurant, that this would not be the best dining experience of my life. Unfortunately, that proved to be... More

If you crave for a good steak, this is the place to go but save yourself some disappointment and only order meat and a glass of wine; nothing else deserves attention. Ok, let's say that this place is not perfect. As everything it has pluses and minuses. I was there with a friend and we shared one dinner (portions were... More

Really enjoyed our night at Frankie & Johnnie's. The New York strip did not disappoint. Great service, and very good food. The pasta figoli soup was just ok. The bread was also not very exciting, but I really liked the chocolate mousse cake. A fun place to enjoy a good meal before a show or in our case before a... More

A bunch of woman friends had lunch here. I had the oysters which were very fresh. The flatbread was soggy and the shrimp and salad was just bad. Shrimp were overcooked and salad was uninspired. Dressing was tasteless.

After previewing many restaurant lunch menus we decided to dine here and enjoy the prix fixe menu prior to our show. The lunch selections were very limited and not reflective of what they had posted online. Two soups, two salads, four entrees, and two dessert options were your only choices. The Caesar salad was served with browned edged lettuce and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
