For over 20 years, our kids have selected an upscale restaurant in NYC for us to visit. In one or two we have been disappointed but most have been a great dining experience. But there are only a few where we have both said that we must return, We have to add Marea to that small list that includes Jean... More

i went with some friends to Marea in NYC on Central Park South the other day and had a stupendous meal! i began with the tomato and grilled watermelon salad that was so flavorful and light for a hot summer day and paired it with a crisp sauvignon blanc. That salad was the perfect set of flavors to wake a... More

Came here with a friend and was not disappointed. We did the 4 course tasting menu with wine pairings. The octopus fusilli was absolutely delicious. The lobster burrata, bone marrow, sea urchin pasta, and brioche were also great. We went as soon as they opened for lunch and beat the crowd. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic, best staff and food in NYC. Very accommodating as companion requested 1/2 portion entree as an appetizer, and the risotto was perfect. Hadn't had beef in awhile, so I ordered the 50 day dry aged medium rare and while sliced, it was done as requested. Great atmosphere, my go to restaurant in NYC.

Very affordable choice, that is for a 2-Michelin-star establishment. Right now, the restaurant offers a 4-course Prix-Fixe dinner for $102 pp. The surcharge for more expensive dishes is very decent, not a highway robbery. The location is excellent, the interior is classy, almost chic, the dining area is comfortable, the distance between tables is good, allowing to avoid bothersome neighbors.... More

I hv high expectation to all stars restaurants. I tried Many Michelin star restaurant in this trip. This one is disappointed. Presentation is good. But zero surprise. I would rather has traditional Italian than this fancy soso pricy Italian food. I am a foodie , this one is not on my Recommand list for sure. Try to find another restaurant... More

The atmosphere is top notch. The bartender and waitstaff were exceptional as well. But the food stole the show. The 4 course menu was phenomenal and the wine pairings were perfect. If you are looking for a great high end restaurant in a city of great restaurants this is the place.

Several friends had raved about this restaurant, finally we decided to try it for ourselves. First off, it is not a natural choice for me as I don't eat fish and this is a dominant fishy place. However their pasta is homemade and delicious so all was not lost. I had a starter of grilled watermelon salad with pesto and... More

We went to Marea for our Anniversary. we were seated promptly. It is modern and very comfortable. My husband had the Vongole crudo and I had the Tonno crudo. The geoduck was very thinly slice and very small for the price as was the tuna and the crispy artichoke barely worth mentioning. Though they were very tasty. My husband then... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
