Num Pang is a popular lunch destination in the area. The sandwiches are pretty good and there are a decent variety of protein options. The bread is delicious and prices are reasonable. Lines will form, but they dwindle rather quickly.

Had the pulled pork sandwich which visiting Chelsea market. At first it looked like it might not be enough meat, but ended up being an ok amount. Wouldn't hate to get a little bit more for the price, but was delicious either way.

First of all the bread is amazing-chewy, crunchy crust-then the mix of fresh veggies adds flavor and texture, and finally the variety of meats makes for a perfectly satisfying yet not overly heavy lunch. My favorite was the hoisin meatball.

My daughter and I were starving, so we hit Chelsea Market. There are lots of options there, but we wanted something different. We were very happy with our choice of num pang sandwich shop. We shared a skirt steak sandwich and it was so delicious! For a lunch portion, sharing wouldn't work. This was just a snack. We loved it!... More

Picked up lunch here and then walked to Bryant Park to eat. I had the five spice pork belly sandwich and it was delicious. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I'm not familiar with Cambodian food so I can't speak to the authenticity. However if you are looking for a good place to pick up lunch and something... More

Several of us went during lunch during the week for take out. I was debating between a sandwich and rice bowl and went with the later with spicy pork. The portion want all that large and it was a bit greasy. The taste also was ok or good but nothing special. I wouldn't go back but maybe I should have... More

I'm Cambodian and I can without a doubt confirm this isn't authentic Khmer food. The only thing Cambodian is the name which means bread. Cambodians don't have this type of sandwich, the Vietnamese however do and it's called a banh mi. If you go to Cambodia, you will not find this in any city. That being said, the sandwich was... Meat was chewy. Not appetizing at all. Hate places that have a no change rule for their sandwiches. What if someone is allergic to something? You don't want their business?

Num Pang provides very nuanced flavors in their food. The pork belly was wonderful as many have already mentioned. However, the vegetable offering, sweet potato rice bowl, was unexpectedly filling and savory. The location was rather small and it can get crowded. It's a few blocks from Bryant Square, so you could just take your culinary treasure there and enjoy.... More

My office is a few blocks from Num Pang and I read a review about the best sandwhich places in NYC and this came up. Hmmm not what I imagined to be a sandwich - but WOW. Great here are some favorites! excerpt from their website on who they are and why this twist: Ratha & Ben-founders ...creative Asian sandwiches... More
