This is not a fancy place at all even though it has a dining room in back. It's the equivalent of an Italian Focacceria where there are several hot buffet style foods and also a Cuban sandwich station. Great service and food. A hidden gem

This place was awesome. It's very small but don't like the size fool you. You can order, either, to go, or sit down table. They have daily specials that are scrumptious and filling. Portions are good size. I had the Cuban Sandwich which was so good. The side of "maduros" plantains was more than enough for two people They have... More

Great "hole in the wall" restaurant near Trump Tower. A wide variety of Cuban dishes, where I stuck with the Cubano and lemonade.

Huge portions for quite cheap prices. Get the green sauce and empanadas (with whatever you choose for your main meal). So so good.

The food is nice Cuban. We eat in Miami regularly. This is good authentic Cuban. The coffee culottes is good, not Miami, but good.

We stopped in for lunch and we were pleased. I lived in Miami for a few years and know authentic Cuban food :) This place is the real deal. It was delicious.

Had two meals at this Cuban kitchen and they were excellent. Ropa vieja and milanesa de pollo were amazing main dishes with plantains and yuca fritz delicious side dishes. The service is very efficient and the bill very reasonable. Oh, and the green spicy sauce is soooo good!

Great little place. It is a bit below diner atmosphere, more like a make shift bodega-gone-restaurant, but the food is authentic and excellent. I had the Ropa Vieja, which was spot-on! It came with traditional white rice, and I ordered a helping of Maduros (sweet plantains) which were perfection. My husband had the Picadillo - excellent! My daughters ordered the... More

Cuban food for lunch, how can you go wrong. The restaurant is not fancy. Just good food. One can tell by the take out line when you walk in the place. Minimum 15 people in line waiting to place their orders. There is sitting area in the back. Usually parties of 2 get right in, we had a party of... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
