So stoked I finally got to go here. Cute little Italian spot in midtown east... romantic ambiance with small intimate tables and a bar. Perfect for a date, or catching up with a friend. Order some wine, olives and a cheese plate. Waiters are cool and attentive, service is great. Can't wait to come back with my boyfriend!

Had a great Friday happy hour experience! Place was hopping, but server configured a table for 4. Fresh Pizza and meatballs were a great accompaniment to wines.

Great wines, great Italian vibe. Small plates of delicious food. Can't wait to go back. The bartender is from Italy and makes you feel like you are in the center of Tuscany. A truly special place in the heart of NYC.

Was recommended and did not disappoint. Excellent pizza and intimate interior. Did not have a reservation on a Friday night but were able to be seated promptly. Friendly service.

My husband & I went there on our first night in NYC and were not disappointed. Leo made us feel right at home and although our intention was to just have one glass of wine and go elsewhere , we ended up staying for their pizza and more wine! Leo took the time to talk to us, explain everything we... More

This quaint place has a great atmosphere and it was nice to try out various wines with a few snacks. The food was really good but a bit over priced considering it was pretty a basic menu for a city like New York with so many options around

Came here while staying at the Waldorf . About three blocks away but happily unpretentious, and everyone welcome. We came early and there was a mix of people having a drink and eating. It's small, and can be loud but in a good way, because everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. We had a salad, some Caprese (homemade Mozerella) excellent,... More

When I lived in NYC I was a regular. By that, I mean that my wife and I were there about every 7-10 days. What's better than a glass of wonderful wine in a great and comfortable setting? Having the ability to choose between 80 or so wines by the glass paired with wonderful food. My favorites included their meatballs,... More

We were staying nearby and tried this place out on our first night in town. It set the bar for our stay and no other restaurant met this standard. Just a lovely quaint cafe, delectable wine selection and wonderful staff.

We visit Sofia wine bar every time we come to NYC, and loved it just as much this time as previous visits - a real neighborhood-style place in the city, a relaxed and warm atmosphere, and great, simple food. The service was excellent, and the wine selection and quality is superb. Sofia will continue to be our 'go to' place... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
