Absolutely horrible. WORST TAKEOUT IN HISTORY. Check your items when you are doing takeout. Missed half the items in my takeout order. I paid 60 dollars for something that should’ve cost 36. I don’t have my drinks. I don’t have my added toppings. I don’t...have my extra noodles. Ichiran is just so overrated. Overpriced. And do not care at all for their customers.More

You going to sit in your own booth to eat what is a fantastic way to have lunch! Grate food and friendly staff! Would go here for a nice bowl of Ramen any day of the week!

Ichiran is one of the traditional eating places that you may find in Japan but this is in NY. I came here with my friend to try their soup. It has a long table but you sit facing the server area, not your company. Your...company sits next to you both are divided by a divider on either side. So, it’s a place for one no matter how many people you go with. We both ordered ramen soups because that’s what they are known for. I gave the meat to my friend, so I indulged in the ramen vegetable soup. It was not bad at all. The broth was pretty tasty. The portion was pretty good too. It served with an egg on the side. It was a good day to have soup, raining and cold. If you want to experience this unique setting, come visit and have a soup or two.More

I went here for lunch today!! I have been to the Times Square location 3 times and I had something I needed to go to on 37th street and this was 6 blocks away!! I have said this in my other reviews but I am...now legally a 16 year old!! I realized adulthood will be in my near future and so I will have a job and hopefully a girlfriend!! I was thinking about it and if my girlfriend ever breaks up with me I will go to this state park in Brooklyn afterwards so I would feel better!! I just realized today that if I ever get fired I will come here and get the most amazing ramen to drown my sorrows in!! This place always lifts my spirits and gets me in the best mood I can be in!! The ramen is the best in the entire city and it comes in a box!! The noodles and the egg are cooked perfectly and they only have one kind of ramen on the menu!! It is very very very good and so you should all come here!!More

I visited the location near Penn Station since it closes just after midnight after an early evening arrival into NYC. I arrived to no waiting and allowed to choose my own seat. Since there were plenty of seats to the side the hostess directed me...to, I plopped down to my cubicle. Since it was in the midst of the Winter season, they had coat hooks behind my cubicle, along with a water dispenser. There is minimal talking between you and the server. I know I got a bit confused with what I ordered since I ended up getting double the pork, seaweed, and scallions. I did purposefully order a small portion, ½ kae-dama, of noodles. Overall I enjoyed my first Ichiran experience. The price was fair, even if I ordered a bit too much. The taste was very good and ranked among my favorites, though I am not much of a ramen connoisseur. I would definitely return on a wintry day.More

The ramen at Ichiran is the best I’ve had so far! You start out with a base ramen and then can add each item. It does get to be expensive. You can also select your level of saltiness and spice. They allow you to purchase...additional noodles at a lower price however, if you would like the broth, you’ll pay the full price. The staff was friendly and helpful. The seating was different. We had a party of 4. Each of us were seated in our own cubby with a small partition between each cubby. In front of each cubby was a window with a bamboo blind. There’s a door bell on the table to ring for help. When a server arrived, he / she opened the blind, however, it was low and so all you saw were their chest and crotch. Water is self serve using a free standing water cooler in a central location. Overall, we enjoyed Ichiran!More

Ichiran is a famous Ramon chain from Japan and in New York it does offer very delicious Ramen, same taste like in Japan. It also adopts similar system like in Japan, except you order through paper, not through a vending machine. Service is very fast...and efficient, we eat in our own personal ‘booth’ but pricing is a lot more expensive than in Japan. If you like Ramen while in NY, this is a place to visit.More

We arrived around 5pm. The wait time was around 40 minutes for a party of two. The special individual booths are rather cool and the ordering/serving system is pretty efficient. However, the illusion was broken once we started eating the ramen. It came in a...strange rectangular container with very little broth and ramen inside. I ordered additional ramen and it was also very small. The recommended five dollar add-on was very underwhelming with dry chashu and egg that you need to peel yourself. For a speed and ramen focused individual experience having to slowdown to peel the egg causes a bit of pacing issue. Also the egg I got was cooked all the way through unlike eggs that come in other ramen places. I also ordered the special chashu dish for 9 dollars and it was rather mediocre as well. This really was a “come here once” experience to see what all the hype was about for us. We will not be coming back. There are better ramen in nyc for far cheaper price with more serving too.More

We came here for the solo ramen experience, with low expectations for the food. We were pleasantly surprised at how good it tasted! The staff were friendly and accommodating, making sure to seat parties in booths next each other. We arrived around 10pm on a...cold Saturday and there was a line out the door. But it moved fast and was worth the wait. We ordered one vegetarian ramen, one plain pork ramen with no egg, spices or veggies, and one standard pork ramen with all the fixings. It doesn’t say on the menu, but the first refill of noodles are complimentary. We loved the flavors, but felt the price was high. Especially since we’ve all been to japan and had similar ramen at a lower price point, even in pricey Tokyo. It was a very relaxing experience and I recommend you go at least once.More
