Enjoyed a steak dinner with the family. Service, food and wine were all great. Decor is original therefore a bit dated. Would go back.

We visited Uncle Jacks on our last day, the food was divine! It was expensive but we had extra dollars left and it was worth every penny spent! I recommend the garlic mashed potato and New York strip. The steak comes out in all the juices which I adore!! In England you're lucky if your steak has any juice left... More

Been to NY 5 times now and on every occasion, we have eaten at Uncle Jacks and this time was no disappointment. There was 6 of us for dinner, and we promised them the best steak ever which they all agree it was. Ordered a starter which we shouldn't have done really as we couldn't finish our steaks. Everything on... More

Came here at 6:30 on NYE with my kids and friends. Not crowded. Paul the bartender was excellent. Yes, excellent!!! Once we got seated the service suffered. Slow to get water and drinks. Water never refilled. Shrimp cocktail was awful-dry and chewy. Maple bacon appetizer was excellent-best thing we had all night. Entrees were cooked well. Bone in Filet was... More

We visited this restaurant on the 1st night of our 5 day mini vacation to NYC. We visited this restaurant based on a recommendation of the concierge at our hotel without checking TripAdvisor first. We arrived without a reservation but it was early so they managed to find us a seat anyway. The service was impeccable, the waitstaff couldn't do... More

They advertise to be the best steakhouse in New York... Well, I could name a few other places, I'd prefer... The food is ok, actually it's good, but it's nothing special. I had a filet mignon with french fries. Everything was good. But, well - just good. So, what makes it the best steakhouse...? I cannot see anything. Actually the... More

Rated as $$$$ Old world atmosphere... decorated for the Christmas holidays. Initially, it took a while (15-20 minutes) for our waiter to appear. About the same amount of time for our drinks.... but when Sean, our waiter, arrived All was better! He apologized explaining he was just attending to another party (of 8). He then gave us his full focus... More

Booked for a night with the family. Christmas Eve. Seated ok, had to ask for wine menu twice. They were more interested in serving elsewhere. Cock up with the water. We asked for still and received sparkling, they left both with the guarantee that only one would be charged. Nope. Final bill we were charged for both. Starters were cold.... More

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
