Authentic Cuban

Really good and authentic Cuban food in the heart of the city. Can't go wrong with the Cuban sandwiches; always a popular favorite and very fair prices.

We went to this Cuban restaurant for dinner, at a friend's suggestion. And it really delivered! We had a reservation, so were seated right away. But I think you have a good shot of finding a table anyway, especially on Monday evenings, when we went out. We had the guacamole and plantain chips - huge portion. They keep bringing you... More

This restaurant between 5th and 6th on 30th may be a bit hidden but the food and atmosphere is on point. The staff is very friendly and quick to serve. I came in during peak lunch but was seated right away. The meals are very fresh and tasty if you like Cuban food, not too spicy unless you ask. Recommend... More

Every time I visit New York I must go to Havana NY! We stumbled across this place by accident a few years ago and we've been going back ever since! As soon as you walk in you're transported to the warm coziness of Havana. Rest easy with phenomenal drinks and appetizers - the flavors of the food are mature and... More

I stumbled upon this restaurant after shopping at nearby Lord and Taylor. What a find! It's a sweet place, very cozy, nice bar and great food. The service was excellent. It was moderately priced but worth the money. We went there for lunch so I don't know what dinner is like, but the lunch specials were excellent. It looked like... More

I recently met up with friends for lunch at Havana NY. This quaint and rather small restaurant features authentic Cuban food prepared by Cubans. You enter through the small bar area and proceed into the back dining room. The locale was warmly illuminated with pop Cuban art tastefully hung from the brick and mortar walls. A soft latin beat could... More

This is our second time dining at this restaurant both on a Saturday night so please make a reservation as it is always crowded. This time I opted for the special chilean seabass and it was one of the best I have ever had. The food as well as the service never disappoints and it is in a great location... More

We had dinner here while enjoying the Christmas festivities in NYC. This dinner was the low point of the night. We had 6 adults - ordered drinks, appetizers, steak dinners. One of the steaks was to be cooked well done. After three attempts and still getting a pink steak, we asked that it be removed from the bill. The manager... More

We ordered the empenadas (chicken and beef) - good, Paella rice and a chicken dish plus two cocktails. I drank the one that came with a sugarcane - very good! Knowledgeable staff, friendly and nice ambience with a band playing Latin music. Cool!

We called on a busy Friday night and they were nice enough to squeeze us in when we wanted to eat. As soon as you walked in, there was a Cuban vibe with the Latin music. The seating area is relatively small and a bit tight, but it added to the atmosphere. The waitress and hostess were very polite. The... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
