We really enjoyed the delicious food and outdoor seating. It was quite cold so they were able to accommodate us in the heated outdoor space which made a huge difference (v. the non heated outdoor tables). We had the French onion soup which was fantastic...(the cauliflower fennel soup was a bit bland). The grilled octopus and Brussels with lardons and chestnuts were fantastic. Chicken paillard and moules frites were very good. I had a lovely gin cucumber cocktail (not sweet) and the red wine was pleasant. The molten lava cake was very good but the creme brûlée wasn’t the best I’ve had (not served warm). I would go back if in the area but wouldn’t go too far out of the way.More

Match was booked solid on the night before Easter. Friend and I stopped to see if we could have a glass of wine and soup after our Frick visit. Staff is terrific, and they seated us outside. Soup was great. Thank you. Such a nice...late afternoon in New York City!More

Good service and good food. Unfortunately they abandoned outdoor eating because they say their heaters don’t work. That’s strange because the pandemic is not over.

Super yummy food and the staff is very welcoming. This restaurant has all right ingredients for both residents and visitors. I will go again and again! It is an NYC gem on the UES.

We went yeaterday night and had an amazing experience. The patè was to die for and so was the octopus salad. My son's steak frites was great and I loved my tuna tartare. I highly recommend the mojito. The pace was vibrant and cheeful. Fantastic...dinner.More

We made a reservation for for dinner based on reviews we had read on Trip Advisor and elsewhere, all of which touted its authentic charms and ambiance. They were all correct and we felt as if we'd stepped in off 65th street to a neighborhood...bistro in Paris. We were greeted warmly, seated quickly and enjoyed attentive and friendly service. Tables are close together (I told you it was authentic) and we ended up having a great conversation with some neighborhood regulars at the next table.More

I really want to like this small, busy, welcoming restaurant. The noise level is extremely high. The wine glasses are tiny. Order a Chablis and you get no more than 3 ounces. At $19 a pop. And the food is only average to good. Not...to mention the fact that if you are not sporting your A game you may pale bu comparison to the Euro, poseur and actual stars frequenting this local hot spot. The lovely blond hostess does a great job of being inclusive and finessing the self important.More

The title of this review says it all, I like this place so much I went for dinner once with my son and a second time with a friend of mine in the same week. As this is my second review of Match 65 Brasserie...on trip advisor I won’t repeat myself, but instead would like to add that in addition to delicious, well prepared French bistro dishes they are consistently good over time so I’ve added an additional star(circle) to my review. To me, there are lots of good restaurateurs but for whatever reason, the quality of the food and service varies over time, which for me affects how I rate the place. The best compliment I can offer is that I will definitely be back the next time I’m in town.More

Nice French bistro, with good food. It is a little bit small, but that is good for the atmosphere. We eat there because of my 60th birthday and they give me a great evening. The tables are a little bit small, so if you are...with a group of four, keep this in mind.More

Disappointed. Perhaps it is my fault for assuming that a restaurant with "Brasserie" in its name would be a French-food-serving establishment. Beyond the 'steak frites' there was not much French. There were several pasta dishes and even mozzarella. Ummmmm...... No. Oh, and my 'branzino' tasted...like shampoo.More
