We frequently eat at La Bistecca when we are in New York! The food is great and the service is impeccable! They are open late so an after theater dinner is possible! During truffle season they use truffles in various dishes and each one is superb!! Love this place!

Had Sunday lunch here before returning to the UK on the 22nd May 2016. The food was very ordinary and not worth the high cost. When presented with the check, I added a decent tip and paid with my Credit Card. We left around 3-00pm and took a taxi to JFK for the flight home. When I received my Credit... More

My friend and I were looking for Italian on a Thursday at about 5pm before the theatre. Bistecca Fiorentina had seating available on the patio, and NO reservation. We found out other restaurants fill up early for the theatre. They had a great theatre menu with an appetizer, entree, and dessert. I had the chicken and shrimp scampi, and they... More

Enjoyed dinner here after seeing a Broadway show. Portions are large. The filet mignon was cooked perfect and tender as can be. The veal piccata dinner was delicious. The squid and octopus appetizer was amazing! All sides were very good and nice size portions. Enough to for 2 people for sure. Wait service was very good too. Everything ala carte.... More

As a surprise our daughter had ordered wine for us. on early arrival we ordered our own wine (15$ cheaper) and did not receive what had been preordered. service and food was excellent until we came to pay bill (and original waiter had gone off shift) they tried to charge us... I brought my 2 teenage girls to NYC for April vacation. I selected this restaurant because the menu had filet mignon and pasta dishes. I wanted a really good steak, and my girls like pasta. After ordering, I was told that they were all out of fillet mignon. Mind you, it was only 5pm. So the waiter recommended the tenderloin... More

Visited around 19:30 in the evening, post the early Theatre crowd. Very refined atmosphere with knowledgeable staff, willing to make sensible wine suggestions. Service was a little slow but as not in a hurry that was ok. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Overall a relaxing meal with fine wine and food, just one block away from Times Square.

I liked the restaurant the first time a few weeks ago, and returned with friends this past Saturday night. The appetizer of mozzarella w/tomato was not very tasty, and the size of the Cesare salad this time was 1/2 the portion size it was 3 weeks ago. We waited almost 45 minutes for our main courses to arrive, and noticed... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
