I had a cheese steak with fries and a side salad. The fries were very fresh and tasty. The steak was very tender. It tasted good but not great. Service was good and it was not busy. The owner (or manager) was there and very attentive to customers and staff. Seemed like he knew everyone. A few members of NYPD... More

Food is great, lots of selection and very friendly staff. Short waiting line for food and great service. Short walk to Broadway shows and Times Square. Went there twice during our stay and waiter remembered us and was very courteous. Two thumbs up.

We were going to the theater and running a bit late. We were hungry and didn't want to wait over 2 hours until after the show. We told them we had limited time and they bent over backwards to get our order quickly and our food came out with lightening speed! The portions were huge and everything was really good!... More

We had breakfast at the applejack on Sunday morning. The outside seating area was not set up but upon hearing we wished to sit outside, they quickly got a table ready for us. Food was good, standard breakfast fare. Loved that they use real strawberries on the pancakes instead of the gooey mess some places serve. The potatoes were excellent.

We were here on a Saturday, and they have a brunch menu from 11-3. Oh my - a ton of great food, and price was right. $19.95 gets you the main dish (lots of options) a coffee/tea, juice or some other alcohol drinks, and a fruit cup. I had the french toast, eggs, bacon, ham and sausage. Husband had the... More

We chose this diner due to its extensive menu. You can order pretty much everything. I had a make your own beef burger and added bacon and blue cheese while my girlfriend had a Cobb salad. Both the burger and the salad were a bit "meh". Nothing to write home about, caused us to not stay for dessert. Be aware... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
