We went to Serafina for a pre theater dinner, the food was very good but the noise level was ridiculous. We moved tables but that didn't help as the music was so loud we were shouting at each other. We asked the host to please turn it down but he said, "we won't do that, this is the way we... More

Made reservations in advance for 8 of us. Waiter and servers were great. Food was fantastic. Zero complaints. Everyone in our party was very happy with their meals. Highly recommend the Calamari (nice spicy dip) and Carpaccio di Tonno "Sashimi" appetizer. The thin pizzas were delicious. I had some of the Bianca and the Regina Margherita. Crust was perfect, and... More

My gal and I ate here before The Book of Mormon. The atmosphere was loud and robust (which we enjoy/prefer) and the service was fast and friendly. The best part, however, was the food. The cornish hen was delicious, the filet was the best steak either of us have ever had. Highly recommended.

We had our final meal of our holiday whilst we waited for our taxi to the airport. We'd been staying at the associated Time Hotel and so it was an obvious choice. What a treat. It's not often that all of the family enjoyed their meal. Great Italian food. My tuna pizza was exceptional. Well done! We'll be back next... More

Had the three pasta dish and it was wow -very good indeed as was the service. Regrettably the experience was less than it could have been due to a very noisy environment due in no small part to a boisterous pre-theatre crowd. The 55th Street location has equally good food but not the noise.

Hi dkeith, Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review. Both and all Serafina locations are fabulous choices for fresh and flavorful Northern Italian cuisine. The pre-theater time slots at The Time Hotel location does create a vibrant and boisterous atmosphere which may or may not be for all diners. However, we do feature more quiet... More

Order the vegan spaghetti squash! It is absolutely incredible, perfect balance of flavors. Will eat here again.

Hi Ashley A, The vegan spaghetti squash is perhaps one of our most underrated dishes on the menu! However, the same amount of pride, authentic and fresh ingredients go into making this dish just like any other one on our menu. Thank you for taking the time to give a shout out to our spaghetti squash! We are excited to... More

Very nice service and quite a yummy light dinner before racing to the play. Easy to perch at the bar and listen to all the theater goers talk about the various plays/musicals on Broadway this week.

Hi Jude W, Thank you very much for taking the time to write a glowing review! We are very proud of our pre-theater location as we really hit the spot for either a quick or elaborate dining experience before the show. The bar atmosphere can get very exciting as people from all over the world congregate for small plates and... More

We were tired and wanted to be close to our hotel in the upper west side , a friend recommended Serafina. We ordered the chicken Parmesan which was huge! We also ordered the buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes and basil which was delicious. We also ordered the farfalle limoncello. For desert we had lemon sorbet.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
