Used to be our go to place for salumi - love the selection as well as accoutrements including olives, anchovies, etc. We were in the city on Saturday and popped in and were horrified to what extent the quality has gone down while the prices...have gone up. The finocchiona we got was really good, albeit expensive, the prosciutto (san daniele) was ok, nothing wrong with it, and the porchetta was decent. The cotto was fine, but we couldn't believe it was $36/lb. Further, we ordered at the counter and were told to come back to save time and be pandemic-safe (which is great), but were shocked to learn that the extremely small order or fagioli gigante (wax beans) was $9! Look, I'm happy to spend money on food, but the quality has gone down while the prices have gone way up. I get it that the pandemic has taken a toll, but this place is taking some liberties with the pricing.
Please view this as your warning - the food is decent, but definitely not worth the price. You'd be way better off going to Eataly as the selection, quality, and value are all far superior.More
