But glad I did...had the roasted duck soup and the boneless BBQ pork. Soup had a nice portion of roasted duck in a simple broth, bok choy and thin noodles completed the bowl. The roasted pork was a large portion and somewhat warm with added oil on top to make it glisten...sweet and charred. I would go again if in... More

Reviewed as local Breakfast $3-6 Lunch $12 Dinner $20 Cash Only (sometimes accepts credit card... bizzare. Don't ask) Tips highly optional * (take out/fast food) It's the only place with Chinese breakfast fare (hk style mai fun, fried egg noodles, congee, sticky rice, baos etc) in Midtown (or as far down as Chinatown that I know of). It is about... More

I h ad passed this restaurant so many times over the years and finally decided to try it as a quick lunch in between movies at the MOMA. The place doesn't lie as there are so many Asian customers eating here and some that I talked to come here quite often. It has a really great Cantonese Wonton Soup that... More

I purchased some steam dumplings at the coiunter and just as they arrived, they fell on thje floor. They put the dumplings back in the container and put the container on the cack counter. This begs the question: why didn't they just throw it in the garbage? The only answer that we can infer is that they intended to resell... More

Even with a nice size lunch crowd (always a good sign) we were served very quickly. There are so many choices that we'll be back many times to try more delicious menu options. We had the Mei Fun with shrimp and egg and also the Roast Pork over rice. Both were very fresh and very delicious. Some tables in teh... More

We stumbled into this small Cantonese restaurant while walking around Rockefeller Centre and Radio City Hall. Located between 5th and 6th Avenues, it was jammed packed at 1130 am. They have a buffet counter with different meats, fish and vegetables - you help yourself to different size of boxes, select what you want and pay by weight at the counter.... More

I'm not really sure how we came to even venture into this place to begin with as it doesn't look super appealing on the outside, but we did and loved it. So much so that we ordered take out from here twice to our hotel room in The Grand Hyatt. That was November 2009 and we literally dropped our bags... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
