We stopped for food after walk on Hudson shoreline. I ordered Curry Mee with shrimp. It was very tasty and the portion was good, price very reasonable. The chef is from Singapore and the service was also very good. Very happy to know an authentic Malaysian restaurant near my place in the Upper West Side, will definitely go back again with friends:)

Prior to the pandemic, I went regularly to the pandemic forcing it to suspend indoor seating. The food is consistently delicious and satisfying -- the service is quick and the prices are reasonable. What else can one ask for?

A simple little restaurant run by a Singaporean. It’s quite authentic with tasty Malaysian food and fairly priced.
If you know and like Malaysian cooking then try this place.

Small and not much to look at, but we liked the food a lot. Would return if nearby. Some dishes spicy, others not.

I have been many times, almost always for lunch. Lots of choices on the menu, all reasonably priced and nicely presented. Service is quick and pleasant. So, if you are in the mood for a pan-Asian menu on the Upper Westside, this is a fine choice. Is it elegant or simply outstanding food? No -- but very satisfying with no negatives.

I have been meaning to try this small neighborhood restaurant for years. I went alone one evening. I was promptly seated at a table for two right next to the Walter Station. There was only one other party in the restaurant, but I accepted the table. There were no condiments on the table and I wasn't offered any. Nor was I given Chopsticks, my utensil of choice. The redeeming factor was the food. It was served promptly, arrived hot and it was delicious. It was much too large a portion for me, and taking it home was no problem. The prices were very reasonable I would go back again for lunch if alone.

I have been here many times since I live down the block. Never felt compelled to write a review until now - because I have tried enough dishes, same dishes to be able to provide constructive review.
Dishes are hit or miss but overall, one of the best budget friendly places around in Upper West Side.
DRINKS:
You don't go to this place for an extensive wine or beer list. They only have basic white, red and beer. On the flip side, they are reasonable at $35 or so a bottle for those that are sold for $12-14 retail.
SERVICE:
You don't go here for exceptional customer service. But they are efficient & friendly enough, that's all you need at these Asian joints.
The takeout delivery guys however, are always smiling and friendly.
DECOR/ATMOSPHERE:
Regular decor but definitely more Chinese Malay than others
FOOD/PRICE:
Nasi Lemak -
Good for $7.5 or so for lunch. Loved the fish sauce marinated Anchovie condiment w/ rice.
Lion Pork Roll -
Great spring roll type of dish. Make sure you eat it at restaurant not take out. It isn't all that good when the outer skin isn't crispy
Malaysian Lobak -
Assortment of a lot of appetizers including pork rolls, skewered beef, fried tofu etc. Really good.
Curry Me -
The noodles were a bit disappointing. They just kind of crumbles in your mouth, as opposed to chewy gooey type of thick egg noodles. The broth was really flavorful
Beef Randang -
Love it. You can order 2nd serving of rice just with this
Mee Goreng -
Hit or Miss. Sometimes it is a pretty good curry flavored fried noodles with veggies and some protein. Sometimes the noodles are just WAY overcooked.
Okra in shrimp paste sauce -
I am so in love with this dish. So slimy and fishy. LOVE it
Ginger Shrimp -
I regret that I ordered it. It had weird pickled ginger (like the Japanese sushi pickled ginger that is sweet and sour), then fresh ginger, water chestnuts, shrimp, carrots, etc in white corn starchy sauce. This was definitely more Chinese than Malay? Anyway, I was not a fan of this.

The food is pretty good here and the prices are OK, but our experience with the waitress who greeted us was terrible, as we nearly had to argue to get a table when the place was less than half full. Perhaps she doesn't understand customer relations or the hospitality business or English, or all three, but the "greeting" and getting seated was a very rude experience. The only reason we stayed was because another person, a very polite waiter, served our table.

I usually get a chicken and/or shrimp dish and it is always fresh and tasty. The service is decent. Could be a little friendlier. The place is small, and sometimes crowded. I am pretty certain they do not take reservations. I have never had to wait for more than 10 minutes for a table. The prices are the best in this rip off area. So it is definitely worth a visit.

There's been a few times where I've had to take a subway 100+ blocks...as my wife loves this place. Great menu, reasonable prices and friendly staff, almost enough to make you move to the UWS! If you're in the area it's a no brainer.

I eat often at this restaurant. The food is clean ad tasty, the veggies are never over cooked. The wait staff offered to put jumbo shrimp in my favorite hot pot curry and made it tremendous. There are many dishes on the menu that I like and the prices are unbeatable. The wine is not delicious but everything else is so I do not complain or on occasion bring my own. It is getting crowded early best to call and they will reserve some seats. Tasty, different, stay away from sweet dishes.
